The customer service is awful ! I ordered 2 salads along with a variety of other dishes. I had ordered the Garden Salad with mustard Balsamic Dressing. I was brought 2 seafood salads that were much more expensive. We after some arguing the brought us the other salad's but they were covered in mayonnaise sauce. First of all I never eat mayonnaise , and someone should tell the vietnamese chef that if you are trying to cook or prepare high class western food, mayonnaise is considered very basic and low class fatty additive. After the whole big deal with the mayonnaise salad my Salmon came with mayonnaise sauce ?? Luckily it was on a side dish, but when I asked to have an alternate sauce it was reason for the manager to come over and argue that we had ordered this, yes but the menu said nothing about mayonnaise sauce with salmon. Also who would ever put mayonnaise on salmon??? After argue with the manager I decided to just uses some lemon and other general sauces that were on the table already. By this time there was no way to enjoy the meal, all we could talk about was how much money they had spent on the building but how they were so cheap on the chef and customer service . Now it was time for the check. 4 staff members come to the table along with the manager and inform us that we will have to take the 2 seafood salads to go since we ordered them. This was not going to happen! We had a near screaming match and finally they backed down. In Vietnam this is typical, "The Customer is Always Wrong" but at high end places that push them selves off as western this is insulting to the max! I will never come back unless they change owners, the building is so nice is such a shame. Also this place is owned by the "Cliff Hotel" in Mui Ne, you can see my review there also.

Painful to try and make a reservation. For a seemingly high end restaurant, they cant seem to pay their employees a little more money and get English lessons. Tried making a reservation and after about 5 tries and 2 people, I asked to speak to the manager or someone who could take my details down in English. In which the staff said, "I dont care what you need". Even with miscommunication, I didnt have much confidence service would be any better in person. Glad I avoided this disappointment before bringing more people to join me on the experience.

Read about this place in a local magazine - it's not been open long and my partner and I thought we should give it a go. It's advertised as somewhere you can have a coffee, a drink, a snack, lunch, dinner or rooftop BBQ - we elected to have dinner.

First impressions: beautiful place, restored villa on many levels and entry is through the glass-walled wine cellar. NICE ! Unusual to find a pristine elevator in a villa but up we went to the first floor to find a very impressive interior.

Second impression: Don't know why we we put in a corner, place was mostly empty but, the view through the rainy window was nice.

Food: A menu with a difference quasi-Asian/Med. Everything was served on beautiful crockery and the service, although a bit hit and miss, was charming. Starter wasn't what I expected (thought I was getting hot crab-filled spring rolls but what arrived was cold fresh spring rolls which were not to my taste) The mixed-greens, to go with my main of lamb arrived before anything else. I was expecting hot mixed beans/peas but was given a mixed salad which was then taken-away at our request and brought-back later. There were oysters on the menu but none available that day.

My partner had a steak for main and enjoyed it. My oven-baked rack of lamb (medium) was bloody at the bone so reported that and asked them to take more care in future. By way of an apology we were give a plate of fresh grapes and orange oranges (oranges here in Saigon are normally the green juicers) which was beautifully presented and a nice touch.

Wine: Comprehensive wine list from very reasonable (for Saigon) to amazingly expensive. We plopped for a Chilean Pinot Rose which was reasonable and delightful but don't know why it was served in champagne glasses (it had a minor fizz) a soupcon at a time.

Overall: beautifully appointed place, very charming people, middle-expensive for Saigon - with the wine was not far short of US$100 all-up. Will go on a dry night and check-out the rooftop BBQ.
