Owner description: This is the city's biggest, most authentic market. You can find almost anything you need here, from basic supplies to souvenirs. The food is outstanding and the people-watching is great even if you don't buy anything.

The market had a lot of options, but was over all dirty. The vendors would touch you to get you to stop.

This market is a ‘must see’ as part of your trip if you are looking for gifts, amazing coffee and fresh food. There is LOTS to see so allow time and be prepared to strong to lots of ‘helpful’ stall holders. If you are looking for unique gifts eg. Snake in alcohol to beautiful tea cups, spices, bags, beads it have everything and if you can’t find what you are looking for the stall holders are extremely helpful and they don’t have it they tract down who does. Have been twice and will go again. Kids loved it as much as the adults

Best first thing in the morning as it’s too hot once close to noontime... selection is ok but some vendors are really pushy especially if you’re the first customer of the day ... they must close the sale so be prepared to buy if you set your eyes on something.. they won’t stop till the deal is done

This is like a sister of Bangkok's Chatuchak. Not as big.
It normally has what you are looking for. Providing your needs are simple.

Centrally located. Easily accessible. Bargain 30 to 50 percent

This is also called as the night market. A large bigg hall where all the street vendors are there.
Cheap clothes, food and everything. Bargaining place.

not sure if this is where you should do the shopping, but good to be there once , and look for some local attraction. for accessories, like slippers, small items for daily use.

In an around the Ben thanh market there are big shopping malls also which are more classy and affordable and all in walking distances
