Great, well managed Hotel in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. Very helpful staff who went overboard to correct any misunderstandings. Large clean rooms and a superb buffet served all day. Prices on the high side but the location is ideal for exploring the varied aspects of the old and new city. Numerous local and international cuisine restaurants nearby. Will come again for a longer stay

Fantastic value for money Sunday brunch, starts at 11.30am with a glass of champers and fresh juice, the buffet is fantastic with fresh seafood, salads, roast meats, and amazing deserts. The seafood is all laid out on ice some of it still alive such as the crabs and prawns, you pick what you want and how you want it cooked and the very helpful waitresses take it away to be cooked, it's great quality. The alcohol is unlimited on the house wines and martini or margarita cocktails, it finished at 3pm and you leave very fuzzy headed and full to the brim. It costs about £40 each but it's a great experience.

The hotel is in a good location centrally in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

There is a nice rooftop bar on the 9th floor where happy hour is really happy hours (from 4-8pm). They serve food which is well made and tasty.

The outside pool on the 7th floor is nice a big and if you are lucky you'll have it to yourself. As the weather is hot all year round you can have a lovely cool swim while the city hustles and bustles around you.

HCMC is a chaotic city with scooters and mopeds everywhere but just 'jump' in and enjoy. Do look after your belongings - don't wear a bag loosely hanging off your shoulder - wear it across your body and keep an eye on your things.

The breakfast buffet at the Caravelle is big a well assorted - try the bread options which are numerous.

The rooms need a bit of updating - the decor is old but ok.

Been now twice for another 15 days each time.
I enjoyed staying at Caravelle by the fact the management of Hotel is unquestionable.
Starting from the room you stay to food you eat and the Spa & Pool you use and the tour & transportation they arrange for you perfectly matched my expectations.
I recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in Hochiminh city.
A little problem at front desk I experienced which in no way shadows my high rating is their confusion in counting your duration of stay & the monetary value they count for you especially Vietnamese Dong.
I spent $8,300 (obviously varies choice of room selection) at two times for 15 days, but worth it.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better view of the city especially square view & river side .

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of VJV package to Vietnam and Cambodia. Room on 15th floor was very nice and spacious, spotlessly clean, two queen size beds and a view across to the Mekong. Breakfast buffet was very good. Dinner buffet on the first night was excellent, but we were a little disappointed with the choice on the second night. Note the dinner price includes wine, which makes the price of USD30 a bit more bearable. overall service was excellent.
