The hotel is in a great area can walk every where. Room was spacious tv a little small. Staff were ok but not that helpful. We had our laundry done at thd hotel and it was soo expensive don't leave it take it to a laundry much much cheaper. The buffet breakfast is the best I have ever had and the staff there are lovely and helpful. I really liked this hotel. Just disappointed about getting ripped off with the laundry oh and reception accused us of stealing a hand towel I don't even know where that came from...weird!!

Situated right in the middle of everywhere. You can walk to the markets or Pham Ngu La and to the Post Office and Palace. It is in the nicer part of town and the staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable without being spectular and the pool was a little small and gym non really a gym, but overall a well priced hotel in a good part of town. Well worth a stay.

I'm giving four stars because of its great location! We walked almost everywhere (in the centre) and saved on the transportation costs. There is duty free mall with supermarket next to the hotel, cafes and restaurants at nearby streets. 5 to 10 mins to Dong Khoi street where you can do shopping, Ho Chi Minh Square, Hotel de Ville, Saigon Opera House. We also walked to Ben Thanh Market (about 15 to 20 mins) and Notre Dame (about 20 to 25 mins). It is just a few streets from Rex Hotel where we had drinks at the RoofTop Bar while listening to live music. That was really nice.

The interior is a bit jaded but I like the rooms as they are furnished in traditional Vietnamese way such as wooden decorated mirrors and wooden wardrobes with nice carvings.

Adequate spread for breakfast too. No view though as our window opened to a back alley. Adequate toiletries, not the luxury kind.

From the moment we checked in it felt like we were not welcome. The reception staff member barely spoke just taking main details, no pleasantries at all. The room had a window looking out onto a very small alley way with "views" of air conditioners, etc. we decided to go to the pool are but couldn't find the floor in any info in the room so had to go to reception to find out. The pool attendant was watching TV and appeared "put out" at being disturbed when asked for towels. When we asked about lounger cushions, there were four loungers, we were told there were only two and they were in use. The only friendly staff were the door men. Breakfast was also average, juice warm and tea/ coffee cold. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

It's like stepping bed in time, the hotel though well looked after and maintained has this 18th century vibe to it. The rooms are decorated like olden day 5 star hotel but lack the luxury bling of the modern world, I guess that 's why it is 3 1/2 star. I hope this hotel survive because while giving a odd vibe the hotel is actually homely with friendly and nice staffs. Enjoyed the swimming pool and bathrobe which is rarely found in modern 3star hotels.
