...
the staff is very attentive and always trying to do their best

our first room had two problems: a non working air conditioning and it was a smokers room...
i was not asked when we checked in, i was asked about the bed type but not smoking or not... i don't know, we travel a lot a but we never get asked if we want a non smoking room it is simply assumed...
in the middle of the night i woke up our room was freezing cold because the air con did not work properly and our room stank like a cold ashtray
the next day we switched rooms but from the hotel side no excuse for the inconvenience... stay away from floor 9 if you are a non smoker!!!
both rooms are smallish, the bathroom is for one person only...
furniture nothing fancy more on the regular, cheap side
sleeping experience okay, bed okay, pillows are not 5 stars

i hate the crap signs in the hotel rooms like "save our planet"... save water blablabla... the faucet in the bathroom does not allow to regulate the water flow it is either off or full blast... the hotel should take action and immediately replace these ridiculous old fashioned faucets... and in the end if i should save our planet i should stay home in germany would not travel to vietnam as a tourist and save my money!!! and save the planet... so what does the hotel want?

we tried the chinese restaurant which was pretty good, had dim sum and some other items which were all nice
we tried "oggi" restaurant which was a service disaster, had a 4 course set menu and got the new dishes while people were still working on the previous one... the free flow of cocktails and wine worked a little slow and "stuttering"... the food was WOW EXCELLENT!!!
breakfast was an every day changing experience and the food was good, nothing spectacular but good (that there are more asian dishes may have something to do with the fact that the hotel caters more to asian visitors...)

i found the hotel a little over priced but apparently they can still maintain that price level

Room Tip: smoking and non smoking rooms

Hotel was nice. Service was friendly.
When we checked in they charged my friends credit card with US$120 for mini bar expenses in case we use it. Informed that it would be refunded on check out.
The next morning approximately 10am, there was a knock at the door, a staff member "just wanting to check your minibar". He had nothing with him to stock it up, so was just a check up on the minibar. It is very strange that they couldn't just check when house keeping comes a little later.
They also knock on your door every afternoon, not long after housekeeping have been to ask if you need more towels.
Overall, nice stay, but I feel they enter your room an excessive amount of times.

Spent 3 nights in this hotel just before the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. It was fairly quiet but the city was vibrant with the stalls & set up of the festivities in the city centre. All the staff were very helpful & attentive. Rooms were of a good size & very clean if slightly dated. The entrance is very grand & the flower decorations were spectacular. The breakfast was varied & freshly prepared each morning & catered for every taste & culture. Unfortunately the pool area was a little un-inspiring & there were works being done around the area but it wasn't noisy. The spa was closed during our visit for refurbishment. All in all an excellent choice for location & value. We would use it again.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor to avoid the road traffic noise. On floor 10 it could still be heard. River roo...

What a find a fantastic art deco style hotel in an ideal location. Although art deco in style this hotel is certainly a part of the 21st century and its riverside location only a short walk from downtown and all the attractions gives you peace and quiet and the opportunity to party. The staff are curteous, friendly, efficient and eager to help in any way they can.

Room Tip: If you like me enjoy river life then book a river view room you will not be disappointed with the da...

I was in HCMC for 4 days during my business trip. I stayed at Nikko, and Legend which was good to compare. All the facility in Legend was outdated than Nikko, but human service-which made me very saticefied, and impressed-was OUTSTANDING.
If I have to choose btw Nikko and Legend, I'll stay at Legend again.
Thank you!

We were looking for a luxury end to our trip to Vietnam and were not disappointed. The staff were helpful for arranging taxis, a tour and a spa treatment (the hotel one was closed). The pool and loungers were good. Breakfast was the best we had in Vietnam with seemingly every nationality catered well for. The executive lounge was really good and worth the extra.

We stayed here for four nights from New Years Day prior to starting a Pandaw River Cruise. Saigon at first sight was overwhelming but the Legend Hotel helped us to adjust. We stayed on the club level so received a lot of helpful advice from fellow travellers and hotel staff. The pool area was lovely but it was disappointing the way some people put towels on sun lounges and then disappeared. Several times towels sat on lounges and noone went near them whilst other swimmers went without. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the staff were wonderful, The room was clean quiet and well equipped. Everything was perfect.

Room Tip: We chose a high level with river view and were happy with our room. Although the river view was nic...
