Thouroughly enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The decor in the room was slightly old but still in very good condition and the rooms were really clean. The main lobby / bar / restaurant area is really nice. The room we had was overlooking the river which made for excellent views and was quiet and peaceful which provided an excellent way to relax after spending time in such a busy city.

This is a very glitzy hotel in a pseudo Versace way if you like that kind of thing. If you are impressed by 12ft tall statues of rearing horses, versace-style furniture etc in the foyer, you will like this place.

It wasn't our taste, but that's not their fault.

The rooms were really well maintained and very clean. Seems to be an older style hotel from the early 90's; very mainstream once you are in the room.

Bathrooms were very well lit, stacks of hot water, nice deep bath.

We only stayed one night and were leaving the next night; asked for a late check out as we weren't being picked up till 6pm but they were at capacity and couldn't help.

Instead they offered us the use of luggage storage and the bathrooms at the fitness centre to freshen up in, which was great.

Location was quite good and the doorman gave us the number of our taxi on a slip to take with us each time we caught a cab, in case of problems which was a nice touch.

The pool is a bit ordinary, and I think the whole place could be ready for a makeover to freshen it up and update it.

I would stay elsewhere next time, only because the decor was not our cup of tea, we prefer less ostentatious / more boutique hotels.

Room Tip: We had a river view room on 8th floor, well above the traffic noise.

We would definitely stay at The Legend again and recommend to our friends. The room was large, comfortable, clean, quiet and had a great view of the Saigon River. The toilet even had a heated seat! The Executive Floor was good value and we appreciated the quiet lounge area available for breakfast and sunset cocktails. The view was absolutely wonderful, the staff very helpful and the rooms comfortable and very clean. The Legend exceeded our expectations and we lacked for nothing (except for a longer cord on the hair dryer).

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Saigon River. The extra charge for a room on the Executive Floor...

Really nice place to relax and enjoy good meals after busy and terrible traffic of Saigon. The staff is very helpful to give you good advice what to do in city. Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is offering you many choices (fresh fruits, omelets, juices and so on...)

Room Tip: Nice view to Saigon river is better than view to backyard

We arrived lateish on a Saturday evening and as we had booked a room on the executive floor, and were shown to the executive lounge for a very speady check in and welcome drink.

The room was very comfortable and we eat in the hotel a few times which was enjoyable, as was the wide range at breakfast.

The pool is very nice and the entrance at the back of the hotel allows you to walk to most areas quickly.

All the staff speak english and are very friendly.
Would stay here again if we visit Saigon again.

This hotel is a treasure. When we arrived the taxi-driver would charge us more then what was on the meter. And the hotels security man took charge and sorted it out. We arrived a little early and was checked in but our room was not ready for half an hour. We sat in the lobby bar, witch is huge with two full size horse statues in it. We where amazed buy the grandiose surroundings. The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom is equipped to fill all your needs. It even has a bath weight. The beds are a bit hard. This seems to be similar all over Vietnam. The breakfast is buffet style and the diversity of different food was amazing. It seems the hotel has a lot of asian guests, and they obviously do prefer hot food for dinner. And we are not talking egg and bacon, even though they got that as well but more like noodle any style and soups. Good but different for us bread eaters. We even tasted the restaurants in the hotel, and they where great as well. There are always people around you who wants to help you. They are cheerful all though not all are fluent in English. They got a great pool and the backyard, and it felt great to dip into it after a long and hot day in the city. Even though this hotel is not in midtown, you can easily reach most attraction by foot. The entrance to the hotel at the back leads to some sidesteets witch holds a descent ( but expensive) Argentinian restaurant. The backstreets are a bit on the downside. But that is Saigon for you. If you cant handle this you should stay in your hotel. The only thing we have to point out about the Legend is that the rooms and the hallway are painted in colours our European taste dos not approve. Some kind of pink and lime. But there where no sign of wear at all. They even got a couple of employees polishing every glass and brass shining. We got the local English paper on the doorknob every morning. This is the place to stay in Ho Chi Minh.

Room Tip: Frontside rooms has view over river, backside has view over city and no noise at all.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and were completely satisfied. The room was very comfortable, with all possible amenities. Free wifi everywhere. Lobby beautiful. Service excellent, although English could be better. The breakfast buffet is the most complete I have ever seen. We would definitely stay here again.
