In a good location, close to the Market and the river. The service was good as was the breakfast. Very close to the highest tower in Saigon which is a must see while there. Pay the extra and take the tour and see how the beer is made.

If you want to spend time in an outdated hotel that needs a lot of love and attention as well as arrogant unhelpful staff then this is the place to stay. Our room was musty and smelt. When we complained the room attendant sprayed with a cheap can of odour spray. By opening the windows, this was better than the spray. The breakfast was ordinary at best. The pool was average. The only thing that this place had going for it was its location. I highly recommend elsewhere when staying in Saigon.

Glad that we booked this hotel due to its superb location. It is in a more upmarket part of town, surrounded by a large number of shops and eateries, including good class restaurants. The older part of town (where the Ben Thanh market is located) is within walking distance.

Our rooms did not face the main boulevard, and though we could hear some street noise, it did not bother us at all. I think generally cityfolks would be very used to this type of constant background noise, but perhaps travellers who come from the countryside might look for hotels that are not in District 1.

Our rooms were the refurbished ones, and met our expectations. We liked it that the rooms were spacious and brightly lit, had lots of power points and the WiFi had excellent download speeds. We also liked it that the hotel had plenty of connecting rooms, which was a feature we looked for to cater to our family of five. The only flaw was the design of the shower area, which could cause water to flow out into the toilet area. We asked for extra towels to stop the water flowing out.

Breakfast spread was pretty average. The overall service standards were acceptable. Staff could understand English and were helpful.

On the whole, we are pretty satisfied with this hotel and would definitely be back!

Central location. Within reasonable walking distance of several areas along the waterfront. Very clean. Good breakfast buffet.

Now, I'd like to mention a few distasteful things about HCMC (or "Saigon"). NOT ABOUT THE HOTEL. HCMC has become a very uncomfortable and ugly city since the end of the American war. In the areas we walked around the hotel, almost all French colonial past has been obliterated. The traffic is horrendous. It took us forever to cross the boulevard running near the hotel along the river front. No respect for laws or safety. I will never set foot in this city again. And I believe that if HCMC (in its present status) had not been on the tour I would not have missed it at all.

Room tip: try to get a room with river view

We've been working with our greatest dedication in the expects of bringing an excellent guest experience and we are now delighted to gain your satisfaction. Last week, my family and I stayed four nights at this hotel in two rooms. My teen accidentally stained the bedsheet with some pen ink. The hotel sent us a letter charging us 1,680,000 VND (US $80 Dollars) to cover the cost of the bedsheet! We agreed it was our mistake but that $80 was too much for a used cotton sheet. They reduced the amount to 1,176,000 VND (US $56 Dollars) for the one single size bedsheet. Their management argued and was not cooperative. I felt that their concern about customer experience and satisfaction was poor. I really do not recommend this hotel.

Dear Mr. Osama Nader,

Warmest greetings from Saigon Prince Hotel team.
Thank you for taking your time to review us.

We appreciate the opportunity to response. We regret that we have not satisfied you well on this stay with us. We are writing to seek your deep and kind understanding on these unexpected issues. Actually, we have tried many time to wash the bedsheet , so that you at no extra charge . However, it cannot be erased and one more special thing is that we have just replaced all new bed sheets to say goodbye to the old year. We understand that charging extra fees will make you unhappy on your vacation, but it's a hotel policy, we can only offer discounts to assist you. We do not explain to protect ourselves. We just hope that you sympathize with us about this situation. Hope that the rest of your trip was as a pleasant with memorable experience.

May all the best things come to you in the festive season and hope to see you back soon.

Kind regards,
Do Ngoc Hai
