“Location and a great breakfast”
Reviewed January 25, 2013 via mobile

We found the location ideal for venturing out exploring district 1. Breakfast was great. The hotel itself was great, staff were pleasant and the atmosphere was a little posh.

On the downside, it was a bit dated and the noise of neighbours coughing all night, their water draining into what must have been a shared drain, and construction on 2 levels between 8am and 6pm which actually went from 7.30-6.30 each day wasn't a highlight unfortunately.

This hotel was absolutely lovely however it could be picked up and put in any city anywhere in the world. It had no character and wasn't really what I had expected.

There was nothing wrong with the hotel, it was clean and the staff were welcoming. It just wasn't very Vietnamese.

Wouldn't put me off going again.

This is a typical City Hotel. A little bit impersonal, and a little tired in parts. In a good position to explore parts of Ho Chi Minh. We only spent 2 nights here, we slept well. The room had everything we needed. It was comfortable, but not exceptional in any way. We found it difficult to find typical Vietnamese food around the hotel. We walked around and eventually mound one restaurant with no one else in it. There were plenty of European style restaurants around though.

I stayed here for my business trip in Saigon. The hotel appears to be a bit old, and so are the rooms. However, the room was very clean and cozy. The food selection was excellent as well as the taste. There was always a dish that I wasn't able to taste because there are just too many to choose from and everything was delicious. We also took a dip in their pool which was a bit small and average but the water was clean and did not stink of chlorine like other hotel pools. The staff were also very friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I would come back and visit Saigon.

The hotel was lovely for a four star. Staff were helpful and gave good advice. I enjoyed the food but my partner not so much. The pool area was very average with a small pool and it was cold too. There was so sauna or spa as they were in construction but the free Internet in the restaurants was good. The hotel location was central and great for walking to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again loved ho chi min city.

The hotel is in a great location, and the rooms are very clean and well maintained, but in need of the refurbishment that is currently underway. There is a fair bit of noise currently with the on going works and we had to phone reception when concrete breakers started at 7.30 in the morning on the floor below us but was dealt with by the management efficiently. All the reception staff and bell boys are very friendly but the restaurant staff are a bit surly but the breakfasts have a good choice We generally enjoyed our stay and would return as the Spa area currently under construction will add to the enjoyment of the swimming pool and the free wi fi throughout the hotel is very convenient.

Check in was fast and competent. Staff speak fine English and seemed to genuinely strive to please. Taxi from the airport was about 150000 Viet Dhong -approx 7 American bucks. I left a 50000 Dhong tip (approx 2 and a half US dollars) and the driver was beaming ear to ear. Be generous - the two bucks will make his day and by seeing his smile, your day will be improved as well. Buffet breakfast was fine. Lots of restaurants in the area including a fine little steak place right next door. Pool looked clean and inviting although we did not partake. The area around the hotel is very interesting - learn how to cross the street before attempting. While intimidating, if you keep your pace slow, yield to cars and the scooters will move around you. Rooms were very clean and the water pressure, hot water, tv, air con and lighting were top drawer. A great shopping centre is a five minute walk away.

Room Tip: We had a non smoking room but seemed to smelling cig smoke from next door.
