Stayed here for a couple of nights upon arrival in Vietnam.

We had 2 twin rooms as travelling with 2 kids. They were a bit bland, but ok and beds were, in retrospect, the softest we had in Vietnam. Biggest gripe is that we were on the floor below the restaurant and so had lots of feet and furniture noise.

The fire alarm also went off at 5am one morning - false alarm but at least it was working!

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was one of the best we had in Vietnam.

Hotel seemed very popular with locals - which I took to be a good sign.

Good location. Apparently some rooms are newly renovated and we got lucky enough to stay in 1 one these. Very good size and clean with wifi. The older rooms not renovated are a little dated..
Spread of breakfast is good so dun miss it!

We arrived tired from a long flight and were a bit surprised by the room we had been given. It was not like the pictures on the site where we booked and the bathroom was different. In the morning we found that we had not booked e second highest as we had thought but the second lowest room without a balcony and view of the city. The staff we very nice and explained that the aged web site was incorrect and proved his to us. They were happy to move us the room that we had expected for another 15US dollar a night. Still good value. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping ladies were lovely. Even bringing in some washing that we had on the balcony during a rain storm. The hotel is close to down town opposite a large park. Taxis were easy to get and the staff there were great as well. Telling the taxi drivers where we wanted to go etc. Can recommend the Centec tower for a cocktail or drink. The views are stunning.

The location of this hotel is quite good. Walking distance to Ben Tanh Market and some other eateries around the street.

The staff are friendly and obliging and they speak pretty good English.

The breakfast is all right but almost the same everyday.

Rooms are quite old although prices are a bit on the high side. But the service quality, location and the safety that I feel when I stay here makes up for the pretty much average rooms. Wifi is good.

There's a massage parlour on the 2nd floor, and its not as fantastic as I thought. You have to pay additional tips to the masseur even though you have made payment at the counter. This does not mean you have extras! Its just that this is the way it works. It's also not smoke free so have to tolerate cigarette smoke around me. However, I had a wonderful time in the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna though. The massage is quite good too.

At late night, the streets around this place is quite deserted so just have to be careful. I'm not sure if other places in Ho Chi Minh are like that too.

There are other Liberty hotel branches too around Ho Chi Minh and some look more posh. I can't recall but its much nearer to Ben Tanh market.

Overall this is a good hotel.

Tip for shopping: Go to Ben Tanh market in the day to get your souvenirs and stuff. The prices are regulated and you can find so many things there. The stuff at the night market rip you off. So be careful. Make comparisons before you buy.

My family of 5 stayed for 4 days and 1 night here. We like the location of this hotel because it was near to Binh Tay Market since shopping was our main agenda.Hotel rates are reasonable.Rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. It was also convenient to make last minute reservations for tours at their front desk only. We appreciate the friendliness and prompt services of the hotel staff.
We want to suggest brighter lighting for the rooms and halal food for Muslims.Tthere are, however, several halal Indian restaurants within walking distance.
