“Probably the best club floor experience ever....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

First stay in the city, first impressions are a big flashy, high end hotel, the lobby area was busy, lots of people, staff, a massive Christmas tree, even a BMW car on show, I asked to upgrade to a club floor room and this was done quickly and I was soon checked in.

The club floor rooms are large, the room has everything you could want, the bed was heaven, the shower room great, when I got back in the room at night, the slippers were laid out, the remote laid on the bed with a flower and various little treats were left, sometimes chocolates, little cakes or fruit pieces.

The club lounge was the biggest I had ever used, the food was excellent, it was elegant and the staff were a credit, they were dressed immaculately, so professional and quickly attended to your needs. It also had an open kitchen for the evening 3hr cocktail session and at breakfast.

Take a trip up to the 23rd floor bar, the atmosphere was great, the views incredible. There are also nearby bars and great shopping malls plus other tourist attractions.

I had a Oriental Zen massage in the spa - amazing and not bad value.

My only gripe was the pool was quite small, not particularly busy, so I always got a sun bed, but it also due to the hotel towers became shaded from noon onwards, so no watching the sunset round the pool, but it remained warm and you could lay out until late if you wanted.

Room Tip: upgrade to a club floor room and live the dream

I had stayed in this hotel for 6 days. The room was very spacious but it had a musky stale smell. The bathroom was also very spacious with a bath tub and a separate shower area. They had good breakfast spread for the breakfast buffet. But their service at the Saigon cafe was very slow when we had our dinner one of the nights. We ordered ala-carte instead of their buffet dinner and it took ages for them to serve our food. Room service was quite prompt when we ordered for one of the lunch. The dim sum lunch buffet at the hotel's Chinese restaurant was good too.

Our room was cleaned everyday even when we turn on the do not disturb light. We got a fright when the cleaner suddenly came into the room for cleaning even when we put do not disturb. The spa in the hotel was good. Overall, the location of the hotel is good. There are many eating places and shopping malls all within walking distance.

We stayed 3 nights in the grand tower. The room included breakfast and club tower access. Our room was on the 23 rd floor with a great view of the river and city. The room was wonderful and amenities at the club lounge were excellent, soft drinks and coffee during the day and appetizers and drinks in the evening. There is a fitness area and pool available to guests. The hotel is centrally located for seeing the sights and shopping. There are several restaurants in the hotel and an outdoor bar on the top floor of the other tower.
Everyone at the hotel was very helpful.
We used Starwood points and paid minimal to upgrade to the grand tower.

Got upgraded to a club room for my last stay and it was much better than the normal room for my last stay. Had a small kitchen and also a comfy sofa. The closet still looks a bit old fashioned but overall it was a great stay! Surrounding area also has lots of food - Pho 24 and also good coffee is within a 5 min walk.

The Sheraton Saigon hotel is very centrally located in Ho Chi Min city, it is in a business district which is in a good shopping district. It is located in the central part of town which is close to all kinds of pubs, discs and eataries. The opera is just a 5min walk from the hotel. High end shopping malls like PARKSON, WINCON and DIAMOND PLAZA are all in a matter of 15 mns walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are quite spacious and the bath room is also quite spacious with separate shower area. The breakfast spread was quite huge the only problem was there was hardly anything for pure vegeratarian people except this everything else is very good.

Room Tip: Request rooms on the higher floors which has an excellent view of the road which looks very nice in...

We stayed here on our final night visiting Vietnam before flying home. It was a reasonable hotel with friendly and helpful staff, however, there was some building work going on that produced a reasonable amount of noise. We asked to swap rooms to escape the noise but it made very little difference.

Apart from the noise, the rest of the stay was very pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and the room service was nice enough. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely fantastic - there was a vast choice and all very tasty.

I would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone. Would have given it 5/5 had it not been for the noise, although this wasn't necessarily their fault so perhaps I am being overly harsh with the rating.

A first rate hotel which will meet all of your requirements. Go to the roof top bar for a stunning view of the City at night. Lovely pool area. Front desk was very helpful and provided early check in. Very good buffet breakfasts and lunches

Room Tip: consider a room at the end with a river view
