“Good Clean Comfortable Hotel”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

Location: A bit far from downtown but near the airport. Not much to walk around and see in the immediate vicinity.

Rooms: Stayed in a superior room and it was comfortable, clean but a bit small. In my opinion this size room is only good for single traveller. Bed was very comfortable king size, bathroom only had a walk-in shower with both rain shower head and the regular shower head. A/C was good, flat screen LCD TV but no HD, no alarm clock, hot water maker with a couple of sache of coffee and two small bottles of complementary water.

Lobby: Shared with a casino (only electronic machines), coffee shop, Japanese restaurant and front desk.

Service: Very good and efficient.

Price: Not too bad around $80 ++

I have stayed at the Movenpick on several occasions now - all business trips - and can't recomend this hotel enough.
It is a little out of the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, but there are shuttles on a regular basis and taxis are cheap - £3 into the town centre. The staff are incredibly firendly and helpful - remembering me from previous visits which was impressive - don't think I am that memorable!
The restaurants are good value - especially the main buffet restaurant on Sea-food night, plus the Chinese and Japanese restaurants frequentlky have special deals. If all you want is a burger and a beer there is the Slate bar which has the added bonus of having major sporting events on live telly.

Room Tip: Best rooms are at the back although there is little to choose between them - some of my coleagues ha...

Hotel is very neat the airport which is convenient. However is far from city attractions. Taxis are all the time available but traffic is heavy. Do not recommend to walk around the hotel. Movenpick has enough restaurant, a casino, a some stores. Also you can take a tour from the hotel to almost anywhere.

Lovely room, friendly staff. We visited the restaurants - all very nice. I got a hair cut at the salon outside, very good, reasonable prices. The only fault I can pick with this hotel is the gym was a little small and confined in a room that had no views. Didn't entice me to want to work out whilst there. other than that - pretty good hotel.

Oh, P.S organise a transfer/shuttle from the airport to this hotel when you arrive - our taxi driver was angry because it was a short trip - was not nice - nothing to do with the hotel though just a heads up.

we had previously stayed at the Novotel Saigon Centre, and after a few days in Nha Trang we were overnighting at the Moevenpick before heading back home.
We were early for check in and told room wasn't ready, which is fine, we asked if we payed was anything available and were told no. We sat down on a lounge chair to decide what we wanted to do with our time before we could check in and after 5 minutes we were asked to either 'join one of the restaurants or please meove on' We felt like we were imposing even though we were guests at the hotel and had barley been sitting for 5 minutes just deciding what to do. The staff we found were rather rude and unhelpful.
After that experience we were quite put off the hotel and just wanted to leave!
The room was nice and clean, besd were small but really comfortable and decent size bathroom.
Pool area was nice and big and we spent a long time tanning barley sharing the pool with anyone.
Personally id chose to stay at the Novotel over the Moevenpick purley based on the hlepfulness and fiendly check in staff.

I was stayed three nights here, the actual place is only 70% to the photo on the WEB. But don't get me wrong, it still a decent hotel with helpful staffs that could speak English.

The first room offered was a bit damp and slightly stinks. After a short conversation with the front desk staff, they came to my room and offer another room for me. The next one is good but it's a twin beds room, the beds were very small and I doubt one will fall out of the bed if you roll a lot sleeping.

While I am unpacking, the front desk call and ask if everything okay. I said it's okay but wonder if they have a double bed room. After a short while, they call back and said it's available just next door, and again they send a nice staff with the new key cards.

Overall, their service is up to a international 5 stars hotel but the room might need some renovation or maintenance.

I only stayed one night in this hotel, but it was a beautiful room and great service.
There were three or four restaurants with very good food.
The bed was very comfortable and the desk was great to do your work.
There was also free Wi-Fi.
The bathroom was very modern and spotless.
The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help.
I would definitely stay there again.
