We are staying here overlooking the river. Very good location to tour the main tourist attractions of Saigon. Very friendly service and relaxing atmosphere. Pool on the top floor fun to cool off and see the river view. Buffet breakfast excellent value, good choices of fresh food.

We recently stayed in the Renaissance Riverside Saigon Hotel for for 8 days and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is very nice, the staff friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet is delicious and the pool a cool treat after a day in the Saigon heat. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Saigon!

We stayed here for three nights in a Riverview Room. It was wonderful to see the sunrise over the Saigon River and to watch the boats and ships cruise over it.

The concierge lounge was very well designed. The food they served was a good variety and certainly offered dishes with a local flavor.

If you are up for shopping, there are many big malls nearby. There are convenience stores and ATM's a block away. There's also a Pho 24 that is a short walk away. If you plan on walking around the city to visit tourist attractions the hotel is a few blocks further away compared to other properties since it is by the river. It is still doable, however.

I did have some concerns with service. I believe the hotel is already working on this.

The city map they provide is misleading, until they update or change it, do not rely on it to be 100% accurate although it is roughly correct.

The hotel itself has a feeling of being dated and in need of renovation. My heart was split between disliking the oldness or liling its classy/classic feeling.

If you have lounge access, there is a staff there named Anh who is very nice and helpful!

I stayed at the Renaissance for a total of 4 nights the room overlooking the river was excellent spacious and comfortable the staff were charming, and having a pool on the roof was a bonus, after the heat of the city, also an excellent chinese restaurant on the first floor, not cheap but I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting the city.

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the river fairly high.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in April at the end of a trip to Vietnam. As a Marriott rewards member, received free wifi access. They tried to sell us an upgrade to the executive floor at check-in, which we didn't do. I am glad. Our room was perfectly nice and wouldn't have needed anything more. The bathroom was small, but clean with good bath products. The room itself had an unfortunate musty smell -- almost as if they had recently cleaned the carpets and they had not adequately dried. We got used to the smell after 5 minutes of entering the room, but still hit you every time you left and came back. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. There are plenty of restaurants, shopping, and sites within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel and probably return.

A very nice hotel in a central location that really takes care of Marriott Platinums, and probably other MR members a well. We were upgraded to a corner suite and given a private check-in. Vinh, our host in the executive lounge, was just fantastic....everything from the loan of a power adapter to delivery of our favorite wine when we entered the lounge. The lounge food was good and the young ladies that help out during breakfast knew our omelet order by the second day.
