We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights in February. When we arrived at the hotel around 4PM after a flight from Siem Reap receptionist told us there's no light in the quarter and they can let us into our rooms only in one or two hours. We had to change our clothes in a dark toilet room (ok, no light but a candle?) and went for a walk. By the way, many places nearby were using generators to keep working.
The hotel is nicely positioned in the back of Le Loi Street so no noise from the traffic. Rooms - we had superior - were fine though not big (or maybe just too much furniture?) with nice bathroom. We were lucky that our rooms were not adjacent to the building site so not much noise. Good beds, breakfast in room (your choice from selection - Pho soup was not that good), no complementary water. Our water heater wasn't working so we had to take a cold shower. Next morning when we were leaving I asked receptioist to check the water heater but when we arrived after a very busy day nothing was done. We had to remind them once again and then it was fixed.
On the morning of our check-out elevator didn't work. Our friends were lucky enough to use it five minutes before it stopped. It was one of them not the staff who came up to the 4th floor and told us not to wait for elevator and helped us with our luggage.
Overall it was a nice stay but compared to other hotels during our trip through Viet Nam and Cambodia, service is to be improved.

Dear Writer,

Many thanks for your constructive comments about the improvement on our services and I believed that your stay was before 24 Feb. where our Generator had not arrived yet. Due the city's power cut, our lift did not work and neither do the heater and we apologized for this inconvenience during your stay. The good good news is that our Generator has now been in place and It will automatically operate within 15 seconds if the City's power is off.

Since we are very new having just opened in early February. Consequently it is going through some early pains associated with any new opening and we really appreciate your constructive comments that will help us to improve our services' level and we wish to have a chance to welcome you & your friends back with us in the coming time.

With best regards/ John La - Manager

Good:
The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the Ben Thanh markets or a shopping centre in the opposite direction.

The bed in our room was great! It was probably the most comfortable bed in Vietnam! (My friends bed in the superior was terrible though)
The bathroom was spacious.

The manager is keen for feedback.

The doorman helped us across the busy road with our luggage to get a taxi to the airport.

Bad:
Some pumping noise coming from the roof? It also seemed to surge the power and water which was strange.

Really loud banging from 6am which is apparently workers next door. The manager said he is trying to fix this problem.

We received a standard room, but had paid for a superior (no fruit basket, no window/balcony etc). When we questioned this they said there were no superior rooms left. They refunded the difference later when asked. They could've just told us in the first place instead of hoping we wouldn't notice? I then remembered the night before when we were checking in. I was talking to a guy waiting in the lobby, as they couldn't find his booking, he said he had booked a room through agoda for 3 nights @$30(standard). I only booked our rooms that day! They must have given us his room, though I don't know why when he had the longer booking. They did the right thing however, and booked him in down the road and took him there etc.

No complimentary water.

Overall:
I believe it is a fairly new hotel and I'm sure it will improve with practice.
The manager seems to be keen to improve the hotel and cares about his guests comfort.

Dear Writer,

Many thanks for your constructive comments both good & bad things that are very important for us to improve day by day the guests'comforts as we want to be the top notch service provider in the hospitality industry.

For the noise caused to you in the early morning due to the next door house's constructing progress and the good news is next door house will be completed in the next 2 weeks.

We do have 3 types of rooms that are associated with its benefits provided inside the rooms. We only provide a complimentary water, welcome fruit plate or basket in the Superior & Deluxe rooms only and all room type either has a small or large windows and the balcony is in Deluxe room overlooking the city.

In anyrates, your comments gave us a very good chance to improve the benefits provided to our valued guests and we hope to have a chance to welcome you & your friends back to our "little" and see the improvement.

Yours very truly,

John La - Manager

We have stayed in 3 different hotels at our recent visit to Ho chi Minh and found this hotel is best out of the three. Smallish hotel but has excellent room size, hot water system works well, very clean room and bed sheets. Most importantly the hotel is very quite as it’s hidden in a small alley, no problem with taxi tho.
During the 3 days stay, it has suffering power outage on 2 occasions and don’t believe this hotel has back up generator as some people were stuck inside the lift or have to walk up fly of stairs. And they don’t do breakfast however, room service menu is available and mini bar is on par with 7/11 pricing. Good food are in abundant in

Overall very happy with this hotel, and can recommend to friend and family or whoever is looking for a decent, budget in central or downtown area.

Dear Writer,

Your positive & constructive comments brought us a very good spirit of encouragement to our TEAM and we can only grow up if we could find some great & loyal friends of guests like yours. We may be "little" in sizes, but not in the hospitality industry and we want to prove that we can do it.

Due to our boutique size, the morning breakfast & food services will be served into our guest room with our professional & attentive staff at the guests'convenient time by pre-order that've made our guests feel very special & unique.

With best regards and look forward to welcome you & your friends back with us in the soonest.

This new hotel is located in the center, with attractions like Ben Than Market, Water Puppet Show, War Remnants Museum etc. within walking distance. It's still quiet, as it's away from the busy Le Loi Boulevard. The staff are very friendly and helpful, although they lack some English. Over all a nice stay in a beautiful and clean hotel!

For those who travel on a slim budget to Hochiminh city, staying at Little Saigon Boutique Hotel is a great choice! Located in the heart of District 1 in Hochiminh city, you can save up alot on taxi fare as you're within walking distant to many places of interest such at the Ben Thanh market, Saigon Opera House, Dong Khoi street, Nguyen Hue street and not forgetting the shopping areas for great bargains at Taka Plaza (less than 5mins walk from hotel, on the same lane), Saigon Squares (opposite hotel) where you can buy lots of branded reject at great pricing. That's not all, you can also walk around Ben Thanh market areas as well as Le Thanh Ton streets to taste great local Vietnamese food at affordable pricing. It's a small cozy mini hotel with alot to offer for those are not willing to spend too much 3-stars, 4-stars hotel. Surrounding the hotel, you can also get access to nice bakery, cafe and the well known former russian market. Worth a stay!!

After we got ripped off by the taxidriver, our arrival at the hotel made us forget all about this! We we're welcomed by the manager and staff with flowers and a welcoming drink. We were the first guests to stay in this lovely boutique hotel! The room is beautiful and very clean with fresh flowers! It's not big but everything is there, wifi, coffee fascilities, robes, flatscreen and minibar. The bathroom is really nice and compared to the room big! They don't have a restaurant (yet?), but breakfast was served in the room! The location is superb close to everything you need! We only stayed for one night since we had to catch a plane, but would love to have stayed a few days more!
