The staff at City Hotel provided excellent service during my stay there. Especially Uyen, who went great length helping me to resolve some of my issues. The location of the hotel is great and the family room is very spacious, neat and clean.
Fantastic value.

The hotel is above shop houses and about a stone's throw away from Ben Thanh Market. The reception area is towards the back of a handbag shop, however it doesn't interfere with guests in anyway. Once you open your room door, you would be impressed, very clean and modern, and big rooms too.

The location is great. It's walking distance to most if not all the attractions in HCM and there are also quite a few cafe's around the corner - perhaps a 5-10min walk.

We had booked two deluxe rooms each through Agoda and Booking.com. The hotel rooms are situated above a gift shop but the shop cum reception downstairs is very presentable.

Rooms were surprisingly very spacious and clean. We booked deluxe rooms because we wanted windows so the rooms were not stuffy.

Do note that the hotel has a policy of keeping your passports unless your rooms have been fully paid. I think it applies to most hotels in HCM.

The staff are very attentive and pleasant.
Location was just excellent, only 3 mins walk to Ben Thanh and if the weather is good, you can reach most of the famous sightseeing places by foot. It is quite an easy walk as the pavements are shady and wide. Traffic lights along the way make crossing roads easy.

Though very near to the market, it is very quiet from our rooms and we have no problem with noise from outside. Instead you may have noise from your neighbours' doors at night.

If you booked rooms with breakfast, please note that it is ala-carte and you have a selection of Western and local food.

All in all, a comfortable enough hotel and no complains for the price we pay.

Room tip: Choose deluxe rooms with windows higher floors if you are concern with noise.

Despite the hotel being only 100 metres or so from Ben Thanh Market, it's very quiet during the night, located in a small side street of shops. We stayed once in a front room with windows and once in a back room, without, the latter pictured in the photos. The foyer is a shop, tasteful and doesn't interfere with guests in any way. The rooms are not huge, but big enough, with coffee/tea facilities, limited mini bar/snacks, fridge and room safe. The staff are friendly and if we had have needed assistance, I'm sure they would have been on hand to help. One stay had breakfast included, one did not, and we were charged around 60,000 Dong per meal. The dining room is situated on the top floor with an inside and alfresco area. The meals were more than ample and there were quite a lot of choices. I would stay again, unless I found a better hidden gem.

Great hotel. Convenient location as the night market is just nearby. The staff very friendly as well. Good places to eat nearby. Most taxi drivers are able to find the hotel easily too and the hotel can arrange for taxi services as well.
