this is a chain of restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, this review is for the location on
To Begin this horrible dinning experience started out with a staff of young university students that were lazy. and continued to sit around and text there friends and neglect the customers. I was told that the upstairs seating has been closed for cleaning , but about 15 minutes later Vietnamese people were taken to the upstairs dinning room .
I questioned this and asked for the manager , no manager was available i was told. then all of a sudden one of the waiters decided to get funny and play a game and changed his shirt and wore a managers badge and came out as a acting on duty manager. When i busted him doing this he just seem to walk away and could care less about customer service and satisfaction. ALl they were looking for was your money to pay the bill! nothing more they could care less if your a happy customer or not.

The bottom line .....
poor service and a very bad attitude toward tourist . the food was good, and the price was fair. the wash Rooms / Toilets smelled like urine on the floors and no paper towels or toilet paper!

this is a place i would never return to or reccommend to anyone !

If you like to taste food with Hue's taste (from Central Provinces) this is the place to go. There are several locations in Ho Chi Minh City where you can find one from this chain. We visited the location by Cho Ben Thanh (Ben Thanh Market). The place is clean and the waiters are friendly. The food is fairly good and inexpensive. We ordered some of their (or the) most popular Hue's dishes, Bun Bo Hue (Noodles soup from Hue), along with Banh Beo (Steamed rice pancake with shrimp), Bun Thit Nuong (Noodle Salad with BBQ pork and beef), and Banh Nam (Steamed cakes mixed with shrimp and pork). On the average, you will drop around US$3 to US$4 for one dish, but you might need more than one dish to get full, but all of the dishes are tasteful. I'd recommend any location from this chain for a lunch or snack.

You can get better vietnamese food elsewhere. It's okay of you are staying around the restaurant. Average prices for average food. Nothing wows you. Service is spotty, I ordered Saigon beer and the staff misheard it as Tiger beer and was rather pushy about it and insisted that i ordered it. I got pissed and drank it just to get rid of the staff. I'm Singaporean, I don't order Tiger when on a vacation. They were also too busy fawning over the American guests next to us.

There are many Mon Hue locations throughout HCMC. I go to lunch there at least once a week at the one just down the street from my office on Nguyen Trai St. My standard favorite is Bun Thit Nuong (BBQ pork and rice noodles with peanuts, greens and bean sprouts) for only 40,000 vnd (around $2 USD). They have many good dishes from the Hue region (central Vietnam), many of which have a nice little spicy flavor (not too much though). Another of the standard fare here is Bun Bo Hue (Beef noodle soup) which is a little different than Pho (better flavor than Pho in my opinion). Point of Mon Hue is, good food for a small price.
