Really, really wasn't expecting much for 4.50 a night but I couldn't have been more wrong. The lovely, helpful, smiley staff are the highlight and an added bonus are the clean dorms with wide beds, thick mattresses, clean bathrooms (with hot water), laundry service, tour booking service ( a little more expensive than some others around) included breakfast (basic but sufficient - egg or cheese with bread or noodles, coffee or tea and bananas), central location and free WIFI. What a lot for so little.
As some-one else mentioned this is down a little alley but I am a lone female traveller and it wasn't intimidating - it isn't far and it is well-lit.
Seems to attract travellers of all ages.
I don't expect to find so many bonuses elsewhere - highly recommended.

Room Tip: The fifth floor dorm is a LONG way up with a heavy backpack!

This was a clean, well-put-together hostel, with a good common area; I met friends that I went on to travel with for several weeks while staying here. The pool table, TV and computers are all centrally located, so everyone spends time together, and it's easy to get a group of people together to go out and explore the city/have dinner together.

The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are clean - and while you can organise Saigon activities with the reception desk, you might get a better deal elsewhere. It's a great location, right by the market (which you should definitely visit for breakfast), and I really enjoyed my time there.

However, the staff were a little prone to panic - we had a few administration problems, which were clearly due to staff error, but no-one would calm down long enough for us to explain. This happened a few times, and might well be down to the age of the team running the place. They all seem to be young students, and there weren't any older heads/management about the place. This didn't ruin the experience at all, but is something to watch out for.

Stayed for 4 nights in November with my wife. Nice, good atmosphere with lots of people with good travelling hints and nice staff. Stayed in a correct double room with bathroom. AC reasonable, good shower. Booked 2 budget tours with the hotel, that where just about what you could expect from what we payed.
Lots of bars, restaurants and food stalls nearby. Also near the night bus pickup and Ben Tahn market. Fruit and food market just at the end of the alley where it's located.
Would recommend!

A really great value hostel, the beds were reasonably comfy and the air con was a life saver! Staff were friendly and generally helpful and the breakfast was okay considering the cost. Main two cons would be the horrible smell in the bathroom which was coming from the drain, not too great! Also staying on the 5th floor with no lift wasn't a lot of fun but I enjoyed my stay here.

Stayed there in December with 3 other friends. We all loved the place. Very cozy, clean and friendly staff. Rooms are good except for WIFI reception which is not too good. Would definitely stay there again!

We stayed here for a couple of nights and were happy with it. It is located in a quiet alley but is near to a lovely food market and to lots of travel agents and busy bars and nightclubs. The rooms are basic, clean and are good value for those on a budget, there are nicer hostels on the same street though. We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful.
