I have just finished my stay at the Saigon Europe Hotel. It was a great little hotel. I was originally concerned about their rooms with no window (standard room) but when I arrived, it was lovely. Immaculately clean, modern, well kitted out rooms. The best thing about no windows - very little noise. This was one of the quietest rooms I have stayed in, in Vietnam.
Breakfast was good with plenty of options.
The best thing about this hotel though was its staff. Always friendly and so helpful. When I arrived in a taxi and had made a mix up - thinking I did not have an airport transfer when I did, I was not charged, even though the driver had made the journey anyway.
The hotel is in a great location and at US$30 a night, a fantastic deal.

The hotel was in District 1 close to many restaurants, travel agencies and the Ben Thanh Market. Our superior double room was very clean, tastefully decorated and the bathroom had a real shower. Wifi was free and our room contained a computer as well as a flatscreen television with many channels. Fresh fruit was provided to us on the first day and a mini fridge in the room contained refreshments that could be purchased. The staff were very helpful and assisted us with tours, answers and drop-off at the airport. The district was very busy and music from the bars could be heard at night but that was not the fault of the hotel. A good breakfast was included in the cost of our room. Great value for the money! I recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Our superior double had great windows but some of the lower priced rooms appeared to have less natural light. Select a room that meets your needs.

Great location, located along shops, bars and restaurants. The triple room we stayed in was very spacious and clean, staff are very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay in this hotel again.

* Do not visit the massage/spa directly opposite this hotel. Their tips system is the same as forcing you to tips them. A foot massage cost 6-8usd is fine, however at the end of the session, you will be given a "tip voucher" which ask u to rate their service. If u rate Excellent, u have to tip them Additional 10usd, Good you pay 7usd and if you think their service is bad, you still have to tip them 5usd on top of the price for your choice of massage!

Allow me to say that the staffs here are most friendly ... two front desk staffs handled all tasks very well from tourist spots, restaurant suggestions, to airport transfer ($10). The bell boys are also very nice and friendly. All of them said Hi / Hello and have a little chat with all hotel guests. I love it.

The location is good. It's easy to find local tours, foods, and supermarket around there within few steps distance. And most tour buses depart from this area too. So you don't have to wake up early to catch the buses.

The room is good, comfortable, and clean .. especially when you look at the prices you paid in which it's very cheap and valuable.

The only thing you may have to concern is .. the noise during the night.
* Superior rooms are facing the street, and they have big windows so you may not be able to sleep well. (But for me, I'm fine .. or you may turn on some soft music in your room, that will help too)
* Standard rooms have no window and they are in the middle of the floor. The noise level is a little bit better than superior room, but no view at all.
* Deluxe rooms have small windows (I shouldn't call them windows though), but the noise level is very low, and you can sleep well (my friend stayed in deluxe and they have no problem with any noise)

But if you wanna have fun at night, so noise is not the problem for you. You can enjoy the pubs and bars around the hotel till late at 1-3 am of the next day ..

Breakfast here is good in my opinion. You can order as much as you can eat. It's not buffet but it's full with egg menus .. and the taste are good too.

Just returned from trip to Vietnam where I stayed in Saigon (Ho Chi Min City)m Europe Hotel and would recommend this hotel for good value excelant position and very helpful English speaking staff. This hotel is within walking distance of the central market and very close to night life, bars and restaurants.
Reception staff LY and Trang organised very good value trips to Vau Trang, water puppet theatre and dinner cruise which we really enjoyed.
I plan to use this hotel again next year when I return to Vietnam again.
