Saigon Europe Hotel

We stayed three nights after finding this hotel via Trip Advisor reviews and were completely satisfied with the experience.
Our spacious room was at the back so there was no traffic noise to complain about and the staff were friendly and attentive at all times. Have to agree that breakfast wasn't great, but it was certainly nothing to complain about and perfectly adequate to start the day.
The position is pretty good and as other reviewers have said there are lots of good eating places within a few minutes walk. it is also an easy walk to many of the city sights and the staff were only too happy to help with directions or tour bookings.
I'd certainly stay again.

Stayed in the Saigon Europe Hotel for three nights in September. Small hotel in the backpackers district. Very friendly reception staff, rooms spotless with large bathroon, a/c,safe and flat screen TV. We stayed in a family room at the back of the hotel which was quiet. Breakfast was dissapointing. The hotel has a travel desk that will arrange tours etc. Overall very good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel

First things first - yes this hotel is clean, comfortable and secure so the big things are all there. The staff are friendly and helpful though the charge for a late check out was steep.

The location is good in terms of "being in the heart of tourist central' however thast also brings the noise and constant hawker attention. We used to place bets on how far we could get outside the hotel before the first sunglasses seller. Average winner was under 10m.

Our room (a deluxe) was spacious and at the rear so noise was not an issue for us however I am sure it would be for front rooms.

Breakfast was mediocre - the worst of our trip but not hopeless.

So all in all it is most of what you want but not a "special" experience.

Room Tip: Must be at the back

The staff at Saigon Europe were very friendly (especially Ly on reception) and were available to offer any assistance we required. The room was clean and had wifi Internet, a computer, tv and a safe. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back to the hotel next time I'm in Saigon.

I've stayed here several times due to the good location, nice staff and good rooms. For second and subsequent visits they give a small discount and I appreciate that gesture. The receptionists are particularly lovely and very helpful. The only disappointment and reason I don't give this place five stars is the included breakfast. My recommendation is to skip it, walk out the front door, turn left and walk a few metres to the lady that makes delicious Vietnamese-style sandwiches in baguettes (on the left, before you get to Circle K). Only 15,000 dong and much better than the indifferent international style hotel breakfast. Apart from the breakfast this hotel is really great and I thoroughly recommend it. One more tip - I really like the noodle shop Pho Hai Thien only 3 minutes walk away, located at 14 Bui Vien, check it out!

Room Tip: Ask for a high room at the back if you're a light sleeper.

We choose this hotel as it was in a vibrant location and it was great for nightlife/bars/restaurants.

We selected a room at the back for more money as these were the quiter rooms and I couldn't hear any noise from outside.

The hotel was immaculate although lacked some of the more boutique touches that some other places we stayed in.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. We left our luggage with the hotel on the last day and when we returned to head to the airport the staff offered us the shower facility - bathroom you can use after you have checked out. It was a bit basic but very helpful.

Room Tip: We paid more for the bigger room and if we were travelling as a group it would have been perfect as...
