This hotel is very central in Saigon, only 5mins walk to Ben Trahn Markets, lots of night life around. Hotel is clean ,and rooms are a good size, with a computer in every room, staff are very friendly and speak good english, breakfast is basic but sufficient,go around 7.00am.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the back of hotel away from the street noise

The hotel is good to spend a few days in Saigon. It's well located and clean, although breakfast is quite poor.

Service is good and they gave us some guidance to go around the city.

They are part of a chain of hotels (Beautiful Saigon)

Rooms are clean and compact. Bathroom was really nice, and included shampoo, soap, etc. We forgot our toothbrushes in Hanoi so it was nice that they included toothbrushes in the bathroom. Breakfast was good! No complaints there. The receptionist was also really nice, and recommended a good restaurant to us right down the street.

The location was perfect for us. It was in the "backpackers district" so there were plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. to eat at.

One minor complaint: We were on the top floor (6th or 7th, I forget), and the Wi-Fi signal in our room was either very weak or non-existent. We could connect to the Wi-Fi once in the hotel lobby, but I the signal connection at the top was definitely not good. Not a problem if our computer in the room worked, but it didn't unfortunately.

Room Tip: Don't go on the top floor if you want a good wi-fi reception. The closer you are to the bottom f...

This small hotel in District 1, in the old Saigon, is a clean and comfortable hotel with small rooms, good showers and toilets, aircon, and bar fridges, close to (walking distance) the vibrant downtown and markets of this bustling city. The staff are excellent, and were the easiest to converse with during our tour, as surprisingly, very little english is spoken throughout the country. The daily 'western' breakfast included in the tariff is good, although the portions were small (the dining room is only open for breakfast, however, there are 100s of resturants nearby for other meals). So thats the good bit - then it sneaks up on you ! If you use this hotel, request a room toward the back of the premises, as the front rooms, although larger, cop the full blast of the nightclub across the road, which rages all night - we had a front room inbound, and it was miserable, as we were tired from travelling, and got no sleep on that first night, which put us on the backfoot for the first couple of days, getting over our travel tiredness and still keeping up with our tour schedule. Outbound, we spent 3 nights, in a smaller room back from the street and it was comfortable and we were not disturbed by the night clubs' noise. Watch out for the street marketers, they are trying to make a living, but they are incessant and can tend to be forceful - it pays to be determined and just firmly say 'no thank you' when approached - and be warned, they will keep coming back at you ! Most of the goods they are peddalling can be bought at fixed prices in the miriad of stores/stalls/markets proliferated throughout this metropolis.

Room Tip: Dont get a room on the street front, and some rooms have no windows, so make sure you ask for what y...

This hotel is new. Rooms are very clean, with nice bathroom with lots of amenities, room is with flat screen TV and has a desktop computer for internet! You don't hear the noise from the street even if its in the center of the backpackers area. The staffs are very courteous and helpful. They even sent us a thank you letter via email after we left! I

SEH is located in the heart of the backpacker district and close to all the action, including nightclub joints. easy access to streetfood and all kinds of restaurants, coffee house etc. We were given Rm 501 at the front of the hotel. Great room - plenty of space, clean and a great lttle bathroom. Beware the bathroom floor floods when you have a shower as the drain is on the floor outside the shower/bath!
There is a bar/club over the road that goes till 4am most days and you can feel the music in the room so if you have a problem with that dont choose the front rooms. We did not sleep the first night and arranged for us to be transferred to one of their 4 nearby sister hotels in the distict which they could do on the 3rd night. We slept better the 2nd night so braved it for the rest of the stay.
The staff are exceptionally helpfull and there is always someone willing to help with the bags - best to use them as they do get bored just sitting around all day. Staff do not expect tips but are grateful if you do.
The hotel has an elevator so easy in and out. Breakfast is OK but I would try the local places as there are heaps of them and all close.

Room Tip: Ask for a back room with a large window to avoid noise.
