We were very pleased with out 2 night stay. Breakfast was 5 star, as is the spa (though pricey). Pool is very nice, and heated (moderately). Great Japanese style bath/spa/steam room. Good fitness machines. Room was spacious and great hot water pressure. Nice setup with plenty of benches and a round desk/table. We paid about $135net for 2 adults and 2 kids (on floor). Twin rooms have 2 smallish beds, so we opted for a king. Nice staff let us checkout at 3pm and kept our stuff till 9pm. Lots of Japanese catching the midnight flight back so they are used to it. Nice amenities and turndown service.
Beautiful spacious lounge with live music nightly. Beers about $5 (not too bad).
They quickly arranged a car for 5 hours to go to the Cu Chi tunnels for 1,250,000. Taxi quote was 1,160,000. One concierge the night before had said it would be 700-800,000 but that was wrong.
Taxi was 30-50,000 for us each way to the center of downtown. About 10 minutes. There is another up and coming area only 1.3km away (to the SE). Lots of shopping, bars and restaurants there.
A few things that I am sure they will fix: no computers in business center, no water cooler in fitness, Japanese concierge who didn't know of a place to eat nearby (there is actually a very nice food court in the mall next door offering over 200 dishes).More
