Beautiful Saigon 3 Hotel
Ranked #49 of 465 Hotels in Ho Chi Minh City
Reviewed August 26, 2014

Well….. What can I say. From the moment we arrived I felt like royalty. The staff at the front desk were so welcoming and full of smiles. Bell boys always on the door.

I didn’t realise that there was so much to do and Miss Y was always on hand to give us a list of things to do or visit and arrange transportation. Anything we wanted, needed, she was always willing to help.

The staff also would invite us along with other guests to dinner or a local bar where we would thoroughly enjoy our evening laughing and then there they were the next morning all smiles again. The staff at Beautiful 3 Saigon made our stay the most memorable in Vietnam.

The rooms were modest and very clean, not that we spent much time in them. The hotel is central to everything. Binh thanh & Night markets, war remnants museum, Central Post Office & Royal Palace and some of the staff may even be a guide.

I have stayed in many places throughout South East Asia, and the Beautiful Saigon 3 hotel and its staff was by far the greatest hotel I have ever stayed in!

Thanks for the memories Ms Y & Staff

We stayed here 3 day. We have absolutely enjoyed our stay at Beautiful SaiGon 3 hotel, this place is well. Breakfasts are just awesome, with massive selection of food and beverages. It's located in the prominent location for all place, just few minutes away from many activities to choose from. 10 min by work from hotel to Ben Thanh market, 20 min to war museum. The hotel itself is very quiet and good service. Highly recommended, we will definitely stay there again.

Great location right in the heart of the district 1 area. Don't be put off with the narrow street, preventing cars and trucks passing by, with restaurants all around, bikes up and down selling their produce it's as if you are back in the past. Great little hotel, very friendly staff, great rooms with all the facilities you could want, clean well fitted bathrooms, great variety and prices in the minibar, room safe, kettle and storage area in the room, as well as air conditioning, computer, and a window that opens onto the little street. An excellent breakfast served from the basement, easy and accommodating staff. One of my favourites.

Room Tip: There are a variety of rooms, ones that face the street and you can hang out the window to watch the...

I thought staff were friendly, until I explored the rest of Vietnam and their hospitality, Beautiful Saigon 3 wasn't really a comparison. My trip started with no pickup from the airport, as previously arranged. I had to wait about 30mins for my lift to arrive. When he did, I had to wait a further 15mins while he got the car. I was still charged US$20 for this, and although I received an apology, they didn't care. The room was kept clean, although small. I couldn't figure out the safe in my room and every time the guy came up to help, he wasn't impressed, and didn't want to help. He just did it for me, so I never learned how to use it. Limited English. Considering the location, I would have preferred to stay at backpackers hostels. The alley was quiet, away from nightlife, but that was the only real plus

we, like other reviewers here thought a few nights in the alley would be great--it was in hanoi and in other towns, but not this one. after best customer service in danang--orange hotel anyone? and art trendy and two other places, the bottom dropped out here. service felt like "whatever", you are just part of an endless stream of lower-end tourists--and you are not booking a tour with us. really, who is training or not training these staff members to be like this? are they unhappy with their bosses?
and i still am recovering from the intense ammonia smell that hits you when you walk in through the elevators and saturates the room. maybe it kills something alluded to in other posts? in addition to our sinuses? yeow.
the room's look and amenities were fine enough the computer worked, and we appreciated the fruit basket. but there was ongoing construction-- bang, tap, tap, tapping nearby, from breakfast time past 6pm--so no rest for we weary travelers who wound up leaving the room to escape the noise --and headache for all of the day.
we told the staff who asked if we wanted to move next door, but we did not because we liked our room in #3 hotel that we booked after much research back home. they thought the noise would abate next day, but no, it kept on maddeningly. there really was nothing to keep us here--certainly not the breakfast or the hotel staff's disengagement or lack of even pretend caring. they couldn't fix this--we were just SO done. they apologized, and we hightailed it (fled?) to a luxury hotel that had a beautiful pool and no smell, no banging, or indifferent/diffident service. it was worth the money to us for a last great day/night in saigon and literally no bad taste in our mouths. really just wasn't a good experience for us.

Room Tip: smell it first. get a window

Quite literally some of the most lovely staff I have come across in any hotel. Always keen to smile and welcome you, holding your keys securely whilst you peruse the local backpacking district! We booked this as a more budget end to our holiday and it was great. Big beds and working A/C with awesome wifi - a rarity in Vietnam hotels. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Included breakfast was fantastic too - coffee and banana pancakes mmmmm. Don't forget to try the sweets in reception!

We had a wonderful stay with this lovely little boutique hotel. The staff are excellent, the rooms clean, comfortable and well furnished and the price was perfect! I thoroughly recommend them! They arranged all our tours and train tickets. Even got us a discount on spa and massages. Great location, right in the middle of the action but no city noise! Fantastic!
