“Relaxing Atmosphere”
Reviewed April 11, 2012

The food is sub-par, but the drinks and teas are great and the atmosphere is one of the best in town.

“It is La Fenêtre de Soleil...”
Reviewed February 12, 2012

The name of the restaurant is La Fenetre de Soleil instead of "Soliel".

In the last seven months, I went there three times. The last one was last weekend. Four of us went there for casual dinner.

It is located not very far from Vincom Mall in Dong Khoi. If you go from Pasteur Street, it is near the corner of SPG pharmacy. The place is located in the second floor (Vietnamese says it is first floor though). If you walk by Ly Tu Trong street, in their entrance door, you only see a high table with a menu and name sign of the restaurant. Then you have to go upstairs, a little bit dark, but please continue... Then you reach the first floor, you walk along a short corridor, still a little bit dark, then you see a glass door - the entrance of the restaurant. Nice old French building... Interior design is a little bit peranakan (Chinese). Unique. I go there for the cozy ambiance...

The name of the restaurant is very French. However they serve fusion Japanese food. They have lunch sets which includes tea/coffee - but you can also order these for dinner. Chicken teriyaki is okay. Nice presentation. In general I should say that the portion is average, not very big. As I go there a few times already, I expect to see more choices on the menu.

They have variety of good teas. Desserts are mixed between French crepes and Vietnamese ones.

“Quiet pleasant and delicious food”
Reviewed January 13, 2012

On the corner of a busy intersection in HCM city you can walk up the stairs to sit a world away from what's below or out the window. A small selection of different types of food from Japanese to Italian, it has an ambience well suited for the single person wanting reprieve or the group who want to share their conversation.
Conveniently located and reasonable prices this is worth a visit even to admire the interior decorating and smartness of a casual lounge or bar feeling. Whether its for a drink or a meal, try it out after you have pounded the pavement of HCM city.

“Good for dinner”
Reviewed January 10, 2012

I really enjoyed this restaurant the first time I went - for dinner one night with a friend. Lovely atmosphere and good food. I went back for brunch one day and was not as happy. The latte ended up being a cappuccino and they have some kind of french toast thing on the menu that is NOT good.

“cool retreat with character”
Reviewed December 28, 2011

Cool off in a cool space with a cool drink. Eclectic decor, raw brick walls, old furniture mixed with new. Drinks are good, haven't tried the food. Nice selection of teas, coffees, juices, cocktails. Great central location. Good lounge atmosphere. Wifi.
