We ended up on this street with no hotel booking and found that most places were either booked or way out of our price range. We had almost made it to the end of the road when we stumbled into this place that just looks like a restaurant from the street. It turned out to be a great little place with immaculate new rooms, and for a very decent price.
The staff don't speak much english, but most of the services are listed in the hotel book in your room which is kind of funny to read. Going up and down the flights of stairs was the biggest pain. We only ate at the restaurant once, and it was decent. Also, the bathroom was kind of weird, with only a huge clear glass window separating you from the bedroom. Thus everyone can see you shower and sitting on the toilet. Not so bad for couples, but weird for friends and family perhaps.
The location is excellent. You are within walking distance of nearly everything interesting, but just far enough away from the "party center" to be quiet and relaxing. I would definitely return to the Royal Saigon in the future.More
