In a little alley way in Saigon, which is nothing new. Smelled a lot of cigarettes and a bit seedy with Ladies of the Night going in and out. Room okay and clean but for the price one gets better deals in Saigon.

Our first time to HCMC and we were very pleasantly surprised by Bloom! Airport pickup went smoothly and staff were very friendly on arrival. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Basic breakfast is included, and location is close to main tourist attractions. Great value for money! Beds are very firm and made for an easy might sleep.

We stayed there for 3 nights and it wsa value for money. We had a delux room wich was 35 USD incl. breakfast. The room was very big with a huge window and a kind of bar behind the window where you can enjoy a last glas of beer before you go to bed, with a view to the street.
The room hast AC and a bath tub not a shower. the breakfast room is really simple, the pesonell do not speak a lot of English it was already complicated to order breakfast. But the staff is very friendly and helpful they arranged tables for dinner for us when we told them where we would like to go and we did also a tour booking to the tunnels with them which went very well.
Good hotel to stay for doing sight seeing in HCMC.
HCMC has so many hotels we could also recommend to go there without booking, let you drop of by taxi at the Ben Than market and look around there are tonns of hotels.

I stayed at the Bloom Hotel for a week in February for work. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's not a five star hotel or experience. What it lacks in luxury, it makes up for in charm and affordability. The room was clean and the staff members were very friendly and sweet. If you want more Western-style luxury, the New World hotel is down the street. But for $30 US, you can not beat the Bloom Hotel in District 1.

PROS:
-Front desk service was so friendly and sweet and greeted me by name every time I came and went. I'm returning to HCMC in a few months and would stay here again just to see their friendly faces again. They speak fairly good English.
-My room was clean.
-Nice international crowd here. Ran into Russians, Japanese, Aussies and Kiwis.
-They have a small safe big enough for an iPad, not a laptop.
-I felt safe in the room. Nothing was ever stolen. Someone was always at the desk and front door 24/7.
-Very important-The air conditioner worked extremely well. You will need this during the super hot months.
-Two computers available in the lobby for your use.
-Strong wifi connection in my room. I was able to conduct business all day.
-The location in District 1 was excellent. I loved the Vy Cafe across the street where I had coffee three times a day. Around the corner from Vy is a tiny hole in the wall Chinese restaurant that was always packed. There is a Western style bakery around another corner that has croissants, breads, and meat pies that I highly recommend. Com Tam Cali has delicious broken rice and bbq one block down the street. And the wonderful Ben Thanh market is a must see and is only two-five minutes walking depending how fast you walk. I went there every day for fruits and souvenirs. close by that has There's always a taxi available in front of the hotel in case you don't want to walk. The hotel is very central and nothing is far away. I even walked to Reunification/Independence Palace (15 minutes).

Cons/Things to be aware of for your comfort.
-My bathroom was very small. Comparable to Euro sized hotel bathrooms. It would be hard for a large person to fit comfortably. The toilet is right next to the sink.
-The elevator lift was also small. It would fit four people tight.
-Breakfast came with my room deal, but it wasn't super delicious. If you have time, go out and eat at the many surrounding delicious and cheap restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor away from the stairwell and elevator.

If you want have a place to stay with a good price, and great location, this is the one. The room is small but it is normal in this city and you will not stay in your room all day anyway. With a map from the front desk you can just walk to almost anywhere... or just pay few bucks for a taxi ride. During our trip we stayed in multiple hotels from Hanoi to Halong to Hue to Danang but Bloom hotel has a BEST staffs. They are extremely friendly, especially Truc, Tu, Xi. We definitely stay there whenever we are in Saigon.

Room Tip: pick a back room for less noises
