This is primarily a small bakery, rather than a restaurant, but it excels at both. The menu is limited, but everything on it is prepared to the highest standard. I especially like the sandwiches, which are made with freshly-baked bread, and the breakfast items.
I've bought several varieties of their bread loaves and pastries, and found them excellent. In particular, a large (plenty for two people), almond and raisin "Danish".
Ho Chi Minh City has several bakeries with more-or-less French themes, but the others seem to cater mainly to local Saigon tastes: i.e., the offerings contain an overpowering excess (to my taste) of sugar. Une Journee a Paris, on the other hand, concentrates on flavor rather than sweetness.
