I went to Luong Son tonight as part of a party of 6. As with the other reviewers' notes, the place was packed. We went for an entirely BBQ'd menu, although the hot pot looked intriguing (more below) and we'll try that next time. We started off with a few orders of wild boar. Great taste, but IMHO wild boar does better with braising than a grill. We also had alligator and my selection was the ostrich, which was incredibly good. Unfortunately, they did not have rat or snake. For the six of us, the bill was only VND 689k, very reasonable for a place where the meat is of this quality.
One other thing for the more adventurous--the fertilized quail eggs they provided were phenomenal. I don't care much for chicken balut, and duck balut is tasty but more challenging. Quail, I think, provides a taste as good as duck but as easy for the Westerner to eat.
