We arranged to be collected from the Saigon Domaine by the Mekong Lodge's private air conditioned bus which arrived on time and was very comfortable. Upon arrival we were shown to our bungalow which had a lovely, warm relaxing plunge pool. The bungalow was clean and comfortable with an outdoor bathroom to add to the outdoors experience. We were given a lovely lunch around 12.00 followed by a great bike trekk around the local area. Unfortunately I was unable to participate in this activity due to disabilities, however, Hao, our wonderful guide, arranged for a boat to collect me afterwards to meet up with the boys. We met a local family who sang for us and gave us refreshments and fruit and then we enjoyed a peaceful canoe ride through the mangroves rowed by a lovely traditional Vietnemese lady. After the trip we enjoyed a great cooking class followed by a lovely meal. After a peaceful nights rest we had a most enjoyable breakfast and then headed off with the lovely Hao for more Vietnemese adventure!
Each member of staff were very helpful, especially as I had a wheelchair, wonderfully friendly and very polite. The Mekong Lodge is a beautiful retreat set amongst the most lovely scenery. Meals were from a set menu which were delicious and plentyful. We highly recommend this trip to see Vietnam in yet another of its' glories.

We had a package 3day/2night with Mekong Lodge. WE were picked up at our hotel in HCM by our guide Mr Morris (lovely man) and taken by van to Cai Be pier where we were taken by boat to Mekong Eco lodge. We were with our 3 adult kids and we absolutely loved this place. WE had 2 bungalows side by side with each our own pool. The location and setting were just awesome. It was fairly quiet but more people arrived later in the day. We had a wonderful afternoon biking through villages, onto a ferry and watching some entertainment along the way. We just wished we could have done longer as it was so much fun. The food that was served to us was the best food our whole trip (Thailand and Cambodia). The bungalows were a good size with open air bathroom. The bathtub was quite novel (shaped like a boat). We had a good night sleep and yes it was a bit noisy with the boats going along the mekong but they provide you with ear plugs which came in good use. I thought it just added to the experience. We went to floating markets and some factories which were both interesting. We then went on our junk boat (Mekong Emotion) which was just fantastic. I would highly recommend staying here for something a bit different. Mr Morris was delightful and full of useful information. Just be aware that while we were relaxing at our bungalow a big snake slithered past so you might see the odd reptile or bugs. But again, this is a eco lodge with lots of vegetation. Everything here was just perfect. Thank you

It was nice and warm. Guide helped us to gain knowledge of Mekong delta.
I hope the foods should be improved with more Vietnamese traditional dishes.

We were greeted by staff and shown directly to our room which had a plunge pool filling with warm water. Our tour guide, Mr Quang was very pl easant and very informative. The food was great and we had plenty of time to relax. Highly recommended for your itinerary .

I can't say anything bad about this place, we loved every minute of our 2 night stay here. We travelled around Vietnam in our 2.5 weeks there but this was our highlight and we felt our most real and local vietnamese experience. We got picked up and it was an easy drive to the boat, where after a quick trip you arrive at the resort. The photos don't do it justice, it's a beautiful resort. The gardens are gorgeous with fresh fruit & vegies growing everywhere you look. The accomodation is simple but very clean and nicely laid out. The only two things i'd suggest are a fridge as it's nice to have cold bottled water or grab a beer without having to walk all the way to the kitchen and a colder pool, it was hot the whole time we were there until the last day, and as it's stinking hot it would of been nice to have a refreshing dip, but ...that didn't ruin our experience at all. We were so lucky to have the lovely and humble Mr Khoa as our guide. He was truly awesome and our favourite person we met. I think we might of gone of the program a little to have a bit more of a local experience and it was great, we went bike riding through pretty scenery, drank rice wine with the locals, popped into a school and the kids just love westerners.... saw some local factories which under normal circumstances i would find a bit boring but it wasn't in the slightest. I loved the markets and would of liked a little longer to wander around and the floating markets were really interesting. I thought it might be a little to busy but it wasn't, we got to have a quick nap after lunch on both days which refreshed you for the afternoon bike riding and boat rides. Be warned - it's super hot..!!! Mr Khoa looked after us extremely well, and giving us interesting info on the mekong...We saw some tour groups come for lunch but staying there is so much better, definitely recommend the 2 night stay. If i were ever to come back to vietnam i'd visit again and try the junk out ...as they have a boat you can stay on in peak season.
