“A very tourist friendly slice of Saigon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Dong Khoi is very western in taste with all the high street brands on show. There's heaps of great cafes, bars and shopping with something for every taste. There's lot of construction going on and it changes a little every visit but it's still a must do.

“High end shoppers paradise...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Great street for high end fashion shopping - Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton etc etc. Five star hotels in this vicinity also - The Rex, Caravelle, Continental...nice street for a wander - great silk Shop on this street (Khai Silk) - a bit pricier, but quality far superior to other boutiques.

“First class stores with fixed prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Unlike the other shopping that we did in Hanoi and Cambodia, where negotiating prices was the order of the day, this street had first class stories, both domestic merchandise and foreign brands, and sufficient choices to enable us to buy gifts for all on our list.

“pretty and upmarket”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

This area has many beautiful colonial era building and many upmarket shopping stores like Louis Vitton etc...not the real Saigon as such, but an interesting change of pace and pretty area nonetheless.

“To see the opera house”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

Ms. Hanh from Asia Tour Advisor company took us here in a beautiful morning. This square in front of the opera house is supposed to be the only place in Ho Chi Minh where you can see the clear blue sky above your head. And of course great for taking photos. The buildings in this area are still preserved in there former shapes of the colonial days.
