“Gem of a Hotel”

This is an excellent hotel to stay. Yes it's not a 5 star hotel but it's truly value for your money. The room was clean, bathroom spacious and the buffet breakfast had variety.
The LCD TV have many channels like NHK, Channel News Asia, CNN, BBC,
ESPN, Star Sports, CCTV, Korean, etc.

The hotel is just a minute walk from Benh Thanh Market and about 10 minutes walk to
the Opera House and Dong Khoi Street.

I was impressed that they had someone who notes down every taxi number arriving or
leaving the hotel.

I would definitely stay there again.

So, when I stay at a hotel, I have three requirements: Conveniently located, clean rooms and good breakfast. This hotel provides all of the above, plus the best beds I ever slept in when on the road as well as free wifi (that unfortunately did not work at two occations, for about an hour or so)!

A great place to stay in Ho Chi Minh!

My friend and I booked two nights stay at Ho Chi Minh before heading to Mui Ne. For first night, we arrived really late, checked in around 11pm due to flight delay. Hotel staff was friendly but he gave us wrong room. First, the door couldn't be opened. Thinking the key was not working properly, I rushed down to get the key re-set. It turned out that the room was already occupied when we opened the door. (mouth wide opened... gosh, there'd better be a security camera somewhere to prove that we did not touch anything in the room) Then the room occupant returned (a friendly chap, thank god!) and found that his key couldn't open the door again. We were very amazed that how could this happen in a fully computerised hotel whereby the staff didn't realise a wrong room was assigned to us. We finally got the right room but the front desk staff did not offer any apology. He should be grateful that neither of us (friend, the chap of the room, and me) did not make any fuss out of it.
Everything was fine from then and no complaint about that. The hotel has modern, well decorated rooms and common areas. The restaurant was also nice and we ordered iced coffee without any additional charges.
It is only less than five minute walk from Ben Tharn market which had food stalls opened until 12 midnight. That's where we had our first meal in Ho Chi Minh. Food was great and cheap but the stall owner removed the light bulb when they were closing without considering we were merely half-way eating.
For 105USD per night, that is a very good hotel and is suitable for families as we see many young parents with their kids. It was a shame that we did not have time to enjoy other facilities. Maybe next time....

This was a clean comfortable and really well located hotel. Close to main area and close to Re-unification Palace and markets.
Service was good. I wouldn't say they jumped out of their way, but have no complaints at all. The rooms are average size, but comfortable. The showers great size, but there's something in so many Asian cities, they can't build showers that drain the water well, which means you end up a small pool of water in the shower, which as a result, slightly floods the bathroom.. This hotel was no exception to that rule. This is nothing that should stop you from staying here. It was a nice place to stay and really well located, and breakfast was quite good as well.

Very helpful staff and although a bit too busy at breakfast on the second and third day because there were big tour groups in the hotel, it was a good breakfast with lots of choice. The pool was closed which we were annoyed by as they hadn't told us, but they did offer us a free trip to the Grand Hotel to swim there (not as good). Would have been good for business as well i imagine. The room was small but had everything you could want, and well laid out in a modern way.

Hotel is a 4 star property and it certainly feels that way. Rooms are well appointed and spacious as is the bathroom. It almost feels like you are staying at a Sheraton or similar type of hotel in the US. We had spent 12 days in Vietnam at that point, in some pretty rustic accommodations, so we were ready for something a little upscale.
Location was perfect because we were right by the famous Bin Than market, which has a lot of good gift shopping and interesting food stalls (if you can dare eat in those surroundings).
The only downside was that one of our clothing items came back torn from the laundry and they refused to take responsibility for it. After many futile arguments with the management, we just gave up because we were not getting anywhere.

We stayed for four nights in two rooms. The rooms are modern and clean as the hotel is new. The children enjoyed having a pool to cool off in after days of sightseeing. The buffet breakfast included lots of choice. We found we could walk most places we wanted to go, and when we did need taxis the concierge staff always got us a trustworthy, metered taxi. One of our rooms had an excellent view from over the Ben Thanh markets right around to glimpses of the Caravelle. The other room, however looked into the back porch of an apartment next door, and we meet some other guests who looked into a brick wall, so I think the outlook depends a lot on which floor and side of the building you end up on.
