We took the 2 days cycling tour in the Mekong Delta with homestay. It was a good tour to see life behind the main busy roads and the modernity of this very populated area. I think the Mekong Delta has lost some of its charm and things like the floating markets are now disappointing with more tourists than actual boats! However, this trip with SinhBalo tries to hide these aspects and show the countryside with the green rice fields, the narrow paths, the little steep bridges and so on. I think the tour is expensive but I believe the main reason is that you are not going with a crowded minibus. I would have preferred a couple of more stops to local farms or factories and more time during the cycling to enjoy the trees, plants, fruits and flowers on the way and also to take pictures. The homestay dinner was lovely with some cooking demonstration and we also loved a short stop at a local place where we had the sugar cane drink and met the 93 years old owner. Our tour guide was knowledgeable but did not communicate very often what we were going to do next so most of the times on the bike we did not know if we were stopping for food, water, toilet and so on. Once we started on the bike we had to follow him until the end of the cycling or until the few stops on the way.
