I had a nite stayed here and very happy to have the very friendly owner Ms. Vy to greet us once we arrive for check-in. The room has a private toiet and is very clean. We recommed for you to stay here cause the hotel is near by to Ben Than market and you juz walk to the market. And as a muslim, we are very happy, the muslim restaurant is juz a round corner (juz less than 1 minutes walk).... to the backpackers, we strongly recommend this place because of the cleanliness of the hotel and the price is very reasonable....

I just don't know where to start.... a great little private guesthouse with real hospitality and friendliness! We were only there for 1 night, but the lovely Vy and her charming parents made our stay most enjoyable. When we came back from Phu Quoc in the morning and were due to fly back to Germany in the eveing, Vy so kindly let us have a shower in her own private bathroom before our flight back - what a lovely guesture!! I've worked in the tourist industry for many years and have seen a lot of hotels and guesthouses... this was one of the best! Ideal for backpackers or for people looking for a non-expensive stay in a large city. Rooms were emaculate and very quiet, (very unusual in Saigon!). Free internet usage was most convienient as well.
A huge THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING to Vy and her family!
All the very best for the future!
Best wishes from Germany

We stayed with Vy at her wonderful guesthouse for 3 nights at the end of March and would have stayed for longer had she not already been fully booked out for weeks ahead. We found the place easily and without being scammed thanks to Vy's careful instructions sent by email before we arrived.

Check-in was simple - just a case of handing over our passports and being shown straight to our room to relax and settle in. This was the first place we stayed in Vietnam and we weren't quite sure what to expect in terms of quality in this price range (£11 per room per night) and we were not disappointed.

The room and bathroom attached were sparklingly clean. The bed was large and comfortable with crisp white bed linen and comfy pillows. There was a well-stocked mini fridge at reasonable prices, a nice-sized TV with HBO for movies and ESPN for catching up on the football back home and the aircon unit was new and very efficient.

The bathroom was small but I'm never really sure why anyone complains about that. The shower was powerful and the water hot all day and it was clean with a western toilet with excellent plumbing. Since I had gastroenteritis for 2 of the 3 days I stayed there I became became particularly intimate with the bathroom and can vouch for it's comfort and cleanliness!

As mentioned, I was very ill during my stay there thanks to a dodgy meal somewhere in Malaysia. Vy and her mother couldn't have been more helpful. They made me drinks and home-made broths to keep my strength up and rehydrate me which they never charged us for and they walked my boyfriend to the pharmacy so he could get me some medicine. When we were leaving Vy even helped us find another place to stay nearby as she was full and had them come help us with our luggage because she said I was too ill to do it alone.

We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting HCMC and not wanting to pay through the nose for simple but clean and comfortable accommodation. For £11 a night this is exceptional value so please try Vy before you try elsewhere.

This hotel is more like a family home, its lovely and clean and the people are very kind and helpful
Its location is prefect right near resturants and pubs, they book tours for you,
The price is very good, so cheap for big clean rooms with aircon, and free internet, would def stay here again

I've stayed in a few guesthouses in the same area, and this place is definitely the cleanest and the room is a decent size, too, especially for the low price. I didn't get a chance to talk to the daughters, but both the mother and father were very friendly and accommodating even when opening the door at 3am.

Like many guesthouses in the Pham Ngu Lao backpacker district, it's tucked away in an alley, maybe 15 meter walk from the main street. This is a good thing for me as that means a quiet sleep after a 19-hour flight. But if you want more action, and convenience, then you should find a guesthouse facing the main street, which are usually fancier and more expensive.
