It was my first time to visit Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam on a 3 day work trip and on my last day (Saturday) I had a whole day to myself without anything to do cause my flight was still in the evening. I found and booked this Afternoon Foodie Adventure using Klook. A few minutes after, Kevin, the tour guide reached out to me to confirm pick up time and address. I also had a few questions to which he quickly responded to. The next day, I checked if it was possible for them to pick me up a little bit earlier and they were flexible to accommodate my request. Kevin picked me up at District 1 and we started our private scooter tour. Our first stop was a food stall on the side of the road where we had amazing seafood noodle soup. Next we walked around the oldest (?) apartment block in Saigon to get a feel on how and where the locals lived. After this we went to Cafe Cheo Leo to try their famous Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. I was even invited inside the kitchen and they showed me how they made their coffee. After this, we went to the flower market and the nearby Cambodian market to try their street food. I had ginseng and seaweed flavoured juice. We also tried their Grilled Beef With Lemongrass and Salty Soup. After this we went to another place in District 4 for some snails with butter and garlic and supposedly some flan. Unfortunately the flan place was closed so we went to Thi The Che for iced desserts instead. At the end of the trip, Kevin kindly dropped me off at District 8 which was near the airport where i would wait for my flight. This tour is highly recommended!
