“Good choice stay in HCMC.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2014

Good location away from major area. Taxis waiting to take you anywhere. Hotel transfers may be expensive but very professional and safe. Dinner buffet was fantastic. Rooms excellent. Amenities provided was grand. Room service so so. Ground staff very friendly. Nearby Tandoor restaurant is a must try. For late night activity try the night markets which close at midnight. Most goods are excellent quality. Diamond plaza (not a mall but a huge department store) is very nearby for some quick food or shopping. Be careful if walking along streets. Motorbikes can be a nightmare unless you are confident in walking and crossing roads. Takes new set of skills. Safe to use taxis who use meters therefore no worry about being ripped off.

Room Tip: Deluxe room was just fine

Very to the point review, thank you so much for that feedback, really appreciated.

I am glad you enjoyed the location of the hotel. Being right next to the Post Office and Notre Dam Cathedral is definitely a great advantage, still we are a little away from all the hustle and bustle of the area around the Opera House which does get very noisy.

Taxis in Saigon are very safe and yes, meters are always on and very accurate. For the braver visitors, motorbike taxis are also available, it is a more adventures part of Saigon but also safe, I just would not recommend taking them during the night and the price needs to be negotiated before you get on the bike. But a great way to see Ho Chi Minh City.

Thank you for the comment on Buffet Dinner. Our main restaurant Market 39 offers different Buffet every night of the week, the most popular one is the Sea Food Buffet. We are very proud to recommend our Sunday Brunch in Market 39. Most certainly the best Sunday Brunch in the city. Very popular, reservation most of the time is required.

If you would like to share with me any more feedback on the room service, please feel free to send me an e-mail to Michaela.Smith@ihg.com, I will share the feedback with my colleagues to see what needs to be improved in the future.

Thank you again for staying with us here at InterContinental Asiana Saigon, please come again.

Best regards from all of us.

Loved the hotel -- the staff were super friendly & really helpful. The only downfall was that our room had a bad mould smell. I called reception & they brought up a little machine to try & clear the smell. It did help a little, but the smell lingered for the remainder of our stay. If not for the smell of our room I would have rated this a 5 out of 5

Thank you very much for the review and the feedback.

I am very sorry to hear that the ozone machine didn't help to clear the air in the room. We could have changed the room, it is such a shame.

I sincerely hope you will come and stay with us again in the near future, if you do, please contact me before your arrival on Michaela.Smith@ihg.com. I will make sure that your experience during your next visit is 100% and we take care of all the arrangements before your arrival.

I am sending the best regards and wish you a very Happy New Year.

It was my first time here and I stayed for 4D3N. The room was beautiful and with a modern look. The room is also equipped with the necessary amenities you need. It was quite large too. The staff were nice and helpful. The hotel is centrally located which makes it convenient.

Best regards to Singapore and thank you for your lovely feedback.

As you write, our hotel is new and modern. We are very fortunate to be the newest 5* hotel in the center of Saigon. All rooms come with iHome, surround system and the expected 5* amenities we all so much like when traveling for business or leisure.
We are extra happy about our bathrooms, they all offer bath tubs and large walking shower.

Location is unbeatable, we are very fortunate to be right next to Saigon Post Office and Notre Dam Cathedral.

We hope to welcome you back very soon and I wish you a very Happy New Year.

the hotel is situated in the center. the room was spacious, very well equipped. breakfast was huge and tasty with variety of choises. during our stay my friend didn't feel well and they recommended a western clinic near by which is open 24 hours. we had dinner in the chinese restaurant in the hotel. the food was very good but the english spoken by the waiters was poor.I highly recommend this hotel.

Thank you so much for giving us the full score on Tripadvisor, it makes us feel very proud.

I am glad you enjoyed our breakfast. We really try to keep the variety very wide as the hotel welcomes guests from all over the world.

I agree with you in regards to the food quality in our Chinese restaurant Yu Chu located on the 1st floor of the hotel. I personally love the food there. Your comment on the level of English of our colleagues working there is well noted and already shared with our Food and Beverage Director.

I hope your friend is feeling well now and no further medical assistance was needed after your return back home.

Best regards to Tel Aviv, please come and stay with us again.

My family stayed here a couple of weeks ago after being on a cramped cabin and the room was a delight. Very clean, modern room with a very upscale feel. Great views as well and walking distance to Time Square. Highly recommend.

I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you very much. It sounds like you did one of the Cruises, I am sure it was a great experience.

As you wrote, the rooms are new and modern. Definitely feels nice to come and unwind after a hectic day in Saigon.

I hope you had a good journey back home and we are sending the best regards. We hope to see you again.

If I could I would give this hotel six stars. It is large and apparently caters to business people, but we felt welcome and pampered. The room was very large and very, very comfortable. Wonderful bathtub, separate shower, plenty of storage space. Our room did not have an appealing view, so I would ask for that if I were to go back there. The buffet breakfast was huge, varied and delicious. Typical Asian offerings along side international foods. One day they had a vegetarian strudel which was very special. The fruit throughout southeast Asia is fabulous, so don't shy away from it. Be sure to try jack-fruit..

Room Tip: Ask for a nice view. We didn't have one.

So good to read your lovely feedback. Thank you so much.

Even though our hotel welcomes more business travelers than leisure clients, we definitely strive to impress both. Our glass swimming pool located together with the huge gym and unbelievably good spa treatments on the 3rd floor of the hotel are undoubtedly a pleasant surprise in the middle of the city.

We hope to see you again, please contact me before you or your friends arrive in the future, I will select the room with the best view to make the experience complete. My e-mail address: Michaela.Smith@ihg.com

Best regards from Saigon and thank you.

We stayed here a few nights for business. This is our first time here. We really enjoyed the beautiful room, excellent breakfast. The staff are very nice, very helpful, and speak English well. The hotel is centrally located but the room is quiet. It is connected to the mall with lots of restaurants. We really enjoy our stay and will definitely come back on our next trip.

Thank you very much for a lovely review, it is very good to hear that the hotel met your expectations.

If you are planning to come back regularly on Business, please do contact me before your next arrival. If your visits are going to be regular, it would make sense for us to look at establishing the Corporate rate for you. (if it is not in place yet).

It also would be lovey to know the face and for you to have a contact in the hotel in case you need an assistance with anything.

I look forward to meeting you soon. My e-mail address: Michaela.Smith@ihg.com

Best regards from Saigon,

Michaela
