Choose a 2 bed room, get a bit more space. Shower in toilet room. Friendly staff. Free wifi. Room locks not terribly secure. Great breakfast w/ VN coffee and french bread option.

Room Tip: Suggest higher up floor for quieter.

I travelled around SE Asia and booked this hotel for my stay in Saigon, the people ate fantastic and will do anything for you, 24 hour reception which means the staff sleep here too, it's basic but clean and with a tv and mini bar, breakfast is great and you have a choice of very filling breakfast, which is on the top floor with views of the city! I stayed in a standard room which was more than enough as your out so much! You can get your clothes laundered every day for a very cheap price! And even though the hotel is so central you don't hear anything, what I must say is the standard rooms have no window for view just a small window in the ensuite, overall I would def recommend this hotel you can upgrade with a room with a view if you wish!!

Outside you can shop, and eat and drink, what I must say is be careful of your belongings as snatch n grab can happen not that I seen or it happend to me but locals will tell you! For a beer on the street the cheapest bar was $0.30, food is also cheap and you have everything from pizza hut right thru to authentic Indian cuisine! Be prepared to be firm with street sellers and if you do want to buy haggle ALOT. Until they say no then they will walk on to the next tourist but don't worry you'll see them again in ten mins or another seller within a few ... That's how it is! The Market is fabulous! It's 5 mins in a taxi and within walking distance this place is cheaper than Thailand and to be honest better quality so if your a shopper you will love this place! Go see the tunnels it's a great day out! There lots if trips which you can get very cheap! ... Loved this place I will be back!!

First time to Saigon and booked this Mini hotel after reading reviews here. We spent 2 nights in a superior double room for about US$30/night which was very small with a window facing the side of the building. It tends to get noisy the whole day...
The bathroom was good with strong showers. The receptionists were very friendly who guided me an excellent Pho place that serves the best Pho I've had in Vietnam! (Walk out of the hotel, turn right, then right again at the first turn, walk all the way down until you see a roadside place at the corner filled wit locals and foreigners).
We booked the Cu Chi tunnel tour and sleeper bus tickets through the hotel. However when we asked if they recommend other travel agents they couldn't comment.
Overall the hotel is OK in terms of value and location. But there are many others to choose from in the area. We came back to Saigon for one night after Nha Trang and booked An An II, which had a much larger room and super comfy beds for US$25.

We stayed at Saigon Mini for 2 nights, really surpassed expectations for the price we paid. Clean tidy rooms (even though our room didn't have a window - but we went for budget option) - still had aircon, tv, fridge, and big bathroom. Staff friendly and will arrange taxis for you (be careful most taxi drivers tried to rip us off, even some arranged by 'reputable' taxi companies). The location is good, very central in backpacker area, but down in an alley to be away from a lot of the noise.
The night staff did miss our wake up call one morning though - which almost caused us to miss our tunnel day-trip - and left us a bit worried for the wake up call to go to airport - so just make sure you've got a back up plan for waking up (we didn't). That was really the only minor glitch - If you're looking for a very good value for money place you can't go wrong with Saigon Mini.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a window - ours didn't have one and feels a bit weird.

The saigon mini 5 is a very good hotel and very cheap. The location is crowded part of HCMC and there are a lot of restaurants and bars. Good to go out and have some fun.
We had a very large room (401) with two kingsize beds. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. I can recommend it, especially the great value!

I can not recommend this hotel highly enough. Stayed here on arrival in HCMC and then again for a few days before heading home. On both occasions the rooms were lovely and clean, comfortable and very quite considering the traffic noise outside!!! On the second occasion my iphone was stolen when was out and about and the staff at reception were so extremely helpful in helping me get a police report. They took me to the station to translate and help me get the report. However due to things being shut over new year was unable to get a copy of the report there and then, and was heading home the next day. The reception staff were kind enough to take the copy of my passport down to the station and then email me the report during the week. So grateful for their assitance. Would definately stay again if heading back to HCMC.
