“My first trip to Saigon .”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

This was my first time to visit Saigon, was recommended Hotel Little Saigon Corner Boutique, this was the best recommendation found the hotel very comfortable and at very affordable cost at the very good location of the city. Very cooperative staff from front dest to manager and bellhops. Rooms were clean and noisless and not to mention the breakfast Buffet and some time they prepared dishes to your request. Kitchen staff very competent and cooperative. In my opinion the best return of you price. Good luck mr. John and keep up the efforts.

Dear Writer,

The whole TEAM of our newly managed Little Saigon Corner Boutique Hotel felt very sad and so embarrassed with your unhappy stay with us and we would like to take this opportunity to share with you some points that could give other travellers a better picture on your stay & our hotel.

This hotel was 5 years of operation & the last renovation was 1 year ago with the whole building repainted. The smell you experienced during your stay was probably the odor from the chemical that we use for our corridor carpet washing on monthly basis.

I, behalf of the hotel's management, sincerely apologize for your bad experiences with us during our transition period and we look forward with pleasure to welcoming you & your friends back with us in the coming time.

With best regards,

Our stay at this hotel was very comfortable. Great Location - easily accessible, close to amenities and good eating , and easy to move around with taxis available helped a great deal in giving us the time and space to enjoy our stay in the city. The staff were very courteous and walked the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Rooms were spacious and clean but could do with some renovations. I understand the plans are afoot to address the various shortcomings in the facility. would definitely stay here again during my future visits

Stayed here a couple of nights middle of January 2014. Checked in early and was first given a rather dark room in the back of the hotel. I asked for another room and was moved to a bigger and nicer one. Neither of the rooms had the bathrobes and DVD player that was promised in the room description online.

I needed a DVD player and after a bit of discussion the staff got me one and installed it in my room. Unfortunately the remote control came with no batteries but I could use the batteries from the TV. The room was in need of a paint job, especially the ceiling in the bathroom.

I didn't like that I didn't get a ticket when depositing my valuables in the hotel safe and would prefer to have a safe box in the room. I didn't get a luggage tag either when storing my bags after check out but disn't care to ask for one anyway. Staff was friendly and nice and with the improvements that I understand management has started I think this hotel might be getting very good in the near future. I would maybe give it a second chance next time I'm in town - especially if the breakfast is upgraded with eggs cooked to order.

The building and room itself has abit of wear and tear however the shower and bath tub were nice and hot which was perfect after walking round the streets of Saigon all day!

Staff and porter were brilliant, very friendly and welcoming. We also booked the taxi through them to the airport.

Breakfast not the best, fried eggs, toast and noodle soup. Not a lot of variety but adequate enough.

Overall not a bad stay for the money you pay.

Dear Writer,

Many thanks for being our guests during our transition period and your positive comments us on the Location, Convenient & the level of services from our staff.

Apart from the shower and bath tub were nice and hot which was perfect after walking round the streets of Saigon all day, we are currently upgrade a lot of hardware in order to make this hotel being one of the best choices for travelers in this vibrant city. The TLC is:-
1. One more sound proof window glaze is already done and now, our guests can enjoy the city view from the large window in the day time and have a sound sleep in the night time.
2. Redecoration at our lobby area has been done as now our guests can have a REAL Vietnamese feeling when they just step into our lobby and easily plan their tour with our 3 GIANT maps hangs around our lobby area.
3. We just adjust our buffet spread for more Western style now with a selection of eggs by order and the cereal choice will more provided after the TET holiday
4. All of our wooden furniture inside the rooms have been well varnished and look very shining now.
5. All marketing material carried the old names has been removed from our rooms...

We look forward with pleasure to welcoming you & your friends back with us in the coming time and you can see the remarkable improvement from the check-in time.

For a short transit stay in SGN, on a favourable rate, the hotel was adequate, though initially being offered an apparent small windowless room we opted for the upgrade of a miniscule USD5 supplement to a larger windowed room on the 6th floor.
Interesting to note that the window did not close properly & allowed a considerable amount of traffic noise into the room.
The room shows evident signs of wear & tear & the hot water flow was very spasmodic.
Unusual to have 2 other names of hotels evident on the room facilities (room menu & toiletry products) which causes confusion.
I really don't think that a queen mattress resting along the side of the narrow corridor & near to entrance of room on the 6th floor is really a good image for a hotel with a' boutique" reference.
Breakfast had very sparse offerings in a small dingy windowless room.
Ideal location close to all facilities with an abundance of cheap & nasty souvenir stores nearby.
The manager John is obviously working hard on a transitional phase as he explained in regards to the hotel management.
On a positive note, the reception & bell boy were very attentive, just some 'fine tuning" required with the hard product.
