One of my favourite things i did this time to my visit to Saigon was short tour of the city in their famous local cycle one seater rickshaws around the city. The most slowest mode of transport helps you get a better view of the city......early morning is better, loads of sun screen, cap and cotton clothing recommended.....flip side one seater thus, you have to be along while other follow u....

My wife and i were able to book a day trip to the Mekond island, on very short notice (we started our inquiry 10 PM the night before!). We set the time, and the guide, the bikes and a brand new ?Sprinter arrived on time. The driver was excellent and took us to a ferry 2 hrs from Saigon. We boarded a "peoples " ferry. The guide knew everyone including the captain, who offered to let my wife "drive" for a few minutes. After we arrived on the island, we left on 2 mountain bikes, in excellent condition with the guide. He took us thru several villages, and clusters of houses, connected thru a series of elevated trails running thru and above the rice patties. We stopped and chatted with locals, ate lunch and snacks with the guide and other locals. This was a slice of life, experienced by very few, if any tourists. The guide was knowledgeable, courteous, and provided a wealth of information. I will definitely book other bike trips with this company when we return to Viet Nam next year.

This was the highlight of our short stay in Ho Chi Minh. It was a lovely experience to get out of the city and to experience the calm of the country side. We did the half day trip as a family, 2 adults and 2 children (aged 2 and 4). The company provided a wonderful bike trailer for our daughter and a bike seat for our 2 year old son. Our guide knew that our children loved the tropical fruit that Vietnam has to offer, so would frequently stop at markets to buy fruit for them to try. Would recommend to any family with small kids.

Five of us did this (2 adults and kids 15,13,7) and it was simply brilliant. It's not just about cycling as our very knowledgable guide gave us plenty of info along the way. We did the Mekong river delta too I.e. a boat ride up and down to see all the boat traders then headed off on the cycle. Lunch (included) fantastic too. Bikes in fine condition. A great day out finishing just as the afternoon rain came down about 4. Even if you have a smaller kid with you you can get a unicycle attachment for one of the adult bikes. As the Greek goddess of Victory, Nike, says - 'just do it'. Great day out.

The 3 days we spent biking through the Mekong Delta were the highlight of our trip! IT was the best way to really see real life in Vietnam! We stopped at many interesting spots, and even the simple spots for drinks or snacks became interesting as we talked to people there through our guide. The bike riding wasn't too hard and the guide was very willing to adapt to our needs! It was a great experience, I suggest you book with them now!
