“enjoyable day in the mekong delta”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

My boyfriend and booked a day-long bicycle tour of the Mekong Delta and chose the shorter of the two options to My Tho (around 30 km). It was a private tour, just the two of us, our tour guide, and the driver (who obviously stayed with the car). It's a bit hard to tell from the description, but basically this is like the more basic touristy river cruises of the Mekong Delta with the bicycle ride tacked on beforehand. It is a little expensive, but since we wanted to see some of the countryside, decided it was worth it. The bike ride was largely on flat land, but in parts (particularly along the water), the paths were very narrow and there was a minor threat of accidentally falling into the water, if you're not a terribly confident cyclist (like myself). It was very scenic, but it seemed at times our tour guide was more interested in just finishing the cycling part of the day than actually showing us the countryside and did ride quite a bit ahead of us for the majority of the trip, checking on us only periodically. We were initially told we'd stop every couple of miles, but in fact we only really stopped twice the whole time, and the second time was upon our request. We didn't really need many more stops, but would have appreciated taking a little more time just to experience the countryside. Our tour guide told us he had been doing this for awhile, and was an avid cyclist, so maybe this shorter trip was a bit boring for him? He did make a detour so we could see some local Cao Dai temples and took some pictures of us on his phone, later emailed to us, which was greatly appreciated. As stated in other reviews, lunch and the rest of the afternoon is rather touristy, but it is a nice break from being in the city. Bikes are in great condition, and helmets are provided. If we were to do this again in the future, I'd request that we perhaps stop a few more times during the cycling part of the day in order to really appreciate the surroundings, but all in all, this was a worthy experience.

Dear Kyrielle,
Thank you for sharing your experience. This feedback helped us to see our weakness in serving our guest. My apology that some actions of our guide did not go the way you wanted the trip would be. Let me assure you that we will look into this and see what happened. Some of us forget the point that what makes us happy doesn’t mean it makes our guests happy as well. Please feel free to email me directly and if you ever come back and cycle with us again, I’ll make sure you will enjoy the trip at your own pace. Thank you and we look forward to cycle with you and your boyfriend again.

“Best way to see the Mekong”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

Did a one day bike tour from My Tho to Cai Be - TIger was our guide - he was knowledgeable, funny and helpful - one of our best experiences in VIetnam - beautiful scenery, loved riding through the local countryside and just taking in all the local sights- lunch was yummy and the boat ride around Cai Be floating village was very interesting - go by bike not bus and you won't regret it.

“So glad we did this”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

My sister, niece, and I had a great time biking in the Mekong Delta. Our guide was really great and the route was perfect and taking the ferry boat across the river was great. I'm so happy that we were able to schedule this trip on such short notice. Very impressed with our guide and the driver and the bus were really nice. I believe the highlight was the fantastic lunch at the end of our ride.

“Great scenic bike tour in Sapa!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

We went for a full day bike tour in the mountains of Sapa. We did business with "Vietnam Bike Day Tours". With no other participants, it ended up as a private tour. The staff was there on time to pick us up at our hotel. Bikes were high quality and in good order. We started with a stop at the falls, then rode up for 3kms and after, easy fast way down with incredible scenery. Just beautiful. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We pause many times for pictures and break time. Part of the original deal was a lunch at a restaurant but the guide in the morning said it would be a picnic. We said no , he called the office and we finally stopped for lunch at at (very) local restaurant . Food was good.We rode more in the afternoon including in a tribe village. So nice day in Sapa with spectacular views. A very nice day in Sapa !

“A fabulous way to see the real vietnam”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

This was my second bike tour with this company This time I chose the shorter countryside tour. Mr Tan our guide was fabulous and very knowledgeable. We were picked up at 7.30am and driven for about an hour in an air conditioned bus to the outskirts if Saigon. Once there we or our bikes and started peddling. Stopping every few miles for fresh fruit or drinks we converted about 15 miles through the countryside
The bikes are very good although they have extremely hard saddles so if you can bring a soft saddle convert if you can
A great way to see the countryside and taste some local food
Only other drawback are the toilet faculties are very basic but for a short tour its not too bad

Dear Gottal,
Thank you for joining us again for the second time. It was a pleasure having you back. I took note of your comments on the saddle, will sure address that. By the next time you will be with us again you’ll have a soft saddle, just let us know. Sometimes it helps us to understand our guest needs if we will be informed prior to arrival. In that way, it would be easier for us to arrange everything. Again, thank you for cycling with us. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you have requests.
