“Good pho, nice experience eating with locals”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2013

We sat in a back room and shared a table with employees from a consumer good company based in Ho Chi Minh. Although there was a language barrier we observed and were interested on how each of us ate our lunch.

The food was delicious and authentic. The best part is it seemed like a local haunt for breakfast, brunch and lunch for the locals. I had the pho bo. They have 3 levels of chilli on the table. The freshly chopped chilli was definitely the hottest I had in HCMC.

But as said on reviews below there were some challenges ordering and it was slightly more expensive than I expected. I think for two pho, some spring rolls to start and a couple of drinks it landed at about 200k.

“Good food, but communication problems”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013

Food was excellent. If you know how the Vietnamese prepares those rice paper rolls, you're going to have no problems helping yourself. But if you don't, you may have problems asking the staff what you need, unless you're lucky enough to bring a local who can talk them through. Or you can just play safe and order the classic Pho from the menu.

“Good Pho, but not the best one in town!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012

We had a really good pho in this place but it wasn't the best we had in HCMC. Try Pho 2000 instead!

Un tres bon Pho, mais pas le meilleur de la ville!

“Wonderful experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2012 via mobile

A colleague recommended this restaurant for fresh, delicious Vietnamese lunch. Reasonably priced, fresh and delicious. The staff and local patrons were patient with our questions and most helpful in ordering and instructing us on which greens tasted the best in the soups. The local couple with whom we were seated come here every Saturday for a lunch together.

“Authentic Vietnamese Kitchen”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012

Taken here by a local and clearly popular with Tourists and locals alike. Very basic and no air con, but open onto the street. Formica tables etc. Menu revolves around the classic Pho and is all kind of self assembly. You add ingredients according to your taste. A great experience, should be part of your trip..
