ULTIMATE COOL PAD: Located directly opposite the recently completed Saigon Centre Shopping Mall and Takashimaya, this gem of a place is accessed by a surprising authentic local alleyway and stairwell that builds anticipation and makes the journey into the apartment all the more interesting!
Upon entering Thi’s 3rd-story modern apartment one is met with both an oasis and a relaxing haven. Such great decor, a compact and yet spacious design, coupled with all the basic amenities one expects in a good AirBnB homestay.
The value is quite good considering how it is possibly one of the best locations in District 1. Highly recommended for couple or single travellers.
A note on noise: Although there is still some major construction work going on for Saigon’s new underground subway system, I was not even aware of any noise for the most part. The well designed double glazing to the windows and doors virtually eliminate the issue.
So don’t worry and book this place without hesitation.
Absolutely amazing apartment - stayed in 'Ultimate Cool Pad' and was so impressed with the decor and all the lovely details throughout, which help make this a great place to stay.
Most of the space is open-plan, except for the very nice private bathroom at one end of the room, and the balcony at the other end (looking out over Le Loi).
I met Thi and one of her staff, both very friendly and helpful, and they made it clear I could always get in touch if I needed anything. I know Hcmc quite well so didn't have many questions about the place but I could tell that Thi has great local knowledge and could give tips of all the best places to go for food and drink, shopping etc.
Perfect location for me with all of District 1 in easy walking distance.
Looking forward to another stay!
We first chose to stay here cos of the prime location & had initially thought it might be just another typical "ok" apartment. Gosh, we were so pleasantly surprised! The neighbourhood & apartment block has a very local vibe but once you enter the apartment, you feel like you've arrived at some super cool studio loft! Love the brick walls & open concept design; every piece of furniture seems to have been chosen deliberately & has a story to tell. Shower is airy and the balcony is great for people watching. The apt is actually huge & looks stunning in reality.
Our host, Thi, is a gem! She recommended places to visit and being a foodie herself, gave us a list of her personal fav local haunts to eat! In fact, in the same apartment block itself, there's a very quaint cafe at the lower floor & at the top floor is a casual restaurant serving yummy, authentic Viet dishes. Thi was very efficient & honest in her replies to all our queries.
We would definitely stay here again OR might even try Thi's other place which looks equally special from the photos!
