Highly recommended - remember to book direct on hotel website

Pluses:
1. Great value for money - I booked direct through the hotel website and got complimentary airport transfer in a sedan car.
2. Awesome location - Right next to Ben Thanh market and night market and easy distance from every where else in tourist district.
3. Bed was comfortable, room was clean
4. Many many English language programs on TV - CNBC, BBC, CNN, Fox, AXS

Minuses:
1. The hot water temperature is bad, non-existent hot water for shower.

Other than the shower, it was a great stay and I would highly recommend.

Great location and breakfast

The hotel is located just next to the iconic symbol of saigon - Ben Thanh market. The room is ok but the bathroom is quite spacious. The breakfast was excellent, there were many choices and they changed the food everyday

A return visit

This hotel is good value for money and well located. Rooms are small but good. Sometimes can be musty but think that comes with the wet season.
Breakfast has many choices- particularly for the price. Very clean.
Restaurant and bar upstairs OMG. Lovely view especially from the outside tables. This is now privately owned so you cannot bill back yo your room. Happy hour until 7.30.
The first night we had drinks there the music gradually crept up until the electronic music base reverberated through our body. We complained and it was turned down. About an hour later- same thing.The manager came to our table and suggested we were close to the speakers-as we were- however as the bar was tiny a move would make little difference. He told us it was a bar - an attitude indicating that as we were older- perhaps we should just put up with deafening reverberating noise - when all we wanted was a pleasant drink overlooking the city.
His attitude did change when I said I would note it on my Trip Advisor review and the music was reduced to a suitable level. We did note that of the other customers none seemed to be worried when the music was reduced to a level which while loud enabled some conversation.
The manager then went out of his way to be polite and provide service for the rest of the night and the next evening when we returned. Mind you we chose not to sit out in the balmy evening due to the noise.
Pity as it is a great spot but really felt ‘inferior’ and an old nuisance when I asked for the music to be played at a reasonable level- just enabling conversation. Sad I had to use a review on Trip Advisor to get a response.

Hotel great, avoid OMG

Upsides: Made a huge effort for honeymoon decorations. Great location. Clean rooms. Hotel staff tried to be helpful. Breakfast decent - omelette station a nice touch. Could do with more Western options.
Downside: Rooftop bar OMG (not directly run by hotel) staff very rude and food not nice as well as seriously overpriced.
Overall: Would happily stay in this hotel at the right price but avoid the rooftop bar/restaurant.

Right next to Ben Thanh

Silverland Central’s key selling point is without doubt location to Ben Thanh with the rear entrance a few steps from the market. They don’t test in their laurels however with a good breakfast, comfortable bed and amazing pillows. A rooftop bar With excellent cocktails that overlooks the market and is worth visiting at night. All in all a solid hotel. Highly recommend hanging around to see the venders running down the streets as soon as they are allowed to set up for the night market. Entertainment at its best.
