“Cheap seafood, near Saigon”
Reviewed June 14, 2014

We went here in May during International Labour Day.

We thought that the food must be elevated due to the holiday but, in fact, it was the opposite.

Grilled clams, oysters, octopus were very cheap ranging from $2 to $4 while one portion was huge, which could be shared between 2 people.

The beach seems unclean due to the fact that this area is near the river mouth, but it's safe to swim in. Everything is not always as it seems, I'm sure.

“Monkeys, Crocs and Jungle”
Reviewed May 22, 2014

I'd recomend going on a private trip on one of the quiter days but only so you get the monkeys to yourself!
Feeding the crocs is fun, the jungle speed boats a good laugh and the jungle base is interesting if a bit sparse. For just over an hours journey you get to see a propper mangrove style jungle and get slapped by a monkey.
Great trip!

“You are paying for the photo opportunities... ok by me!”
Reviewed May 13, 2014 via mobile

At $40 or so, this is a relatively expensive day trip from Saigon. That said, the opportunity to "fish" for crocodile (an extra 20,000 VND) and watch as you bounce an eel / snake onto the nose of a giant reptile only a few feet below you is pretty cool. Pool so so at best. Beach was nasty. Lunch ok. Monkeys will steal your glasses or hat!

“Can Gio Monkey Island”
Reviewed April 12, 2014 via mobile

During the American war this mangrove and water coconut island was destroyed by agent orange. Today it has many aquaculture farms and is home to thousands of monkeys. It makes for a great day tour. Only around 60 k's from HCMC. You can book guided tours from your HCMC Hotel
