The restaurant is just around the corner of the market in Saigon’s china quarter. They offer a good choice of rice and noodle dishes which are reasonable priced. Staff was very friendly and helpful to us. A good place for a quick lunch after visiting the market. They prepare the food freshly in their wok, quality was fine.

Get to know about the existance of this restaurant from a Vietnam travel guidebook where it is located on the same street of the Binh Tay Market and it is a corner shop and road construction is going on around that area. Despite the ash and dust we decided to try out the food in the restaurant. A lady came to us with 2 menus in her hands and a touch of light smile on her face. When discussing in Cantonese with my husband what to order, the lady has conveniently conversed with us in Cantonese too! With her suggestion we ordered fried vemicelli with seafood and fried yellow noodles with beef in gravy. The food came on our table in 10 minutes and within 20 minutes we left nothing on the plates! The food is simply delicious and they don't look fancy.

When we asked for the bill, we had a casual chat with the family who owns the building and the restaurant. They are so friendly and gave us a few tips where we can buy cheaper dried food and reliable mooncakes! The man even suggested that we can hop on the bus #1 to go back to District 1 which will only cost us 5000 Dong per person. In their shop, they sell some authentic teow chew cookies and later we bought a packet of green bean cookies from him.

We are so glad that we have dropped by this shop that makes our HCMC-Cholon-Chinatown trip a memorable one!
