We loved coming here for coffee/bubble tea/cookies and other treats! The staff were so sweet. The place is multi-level and a comfortable place to relax, with wifi! Also have a good book exchange.

We stayed at the Happy Inn right next door and this is the place where the hotel offers breakfast. They serve a good western breakfast, eggs toast and coffee (western and Vietnamese) and the different baked goods are as good as any coffee shop in the world.

This place also is a charity that works with disadvantaged people in the area. They employ, train and assist people to better their lives. They use the profits to help people, be sure to buy a t-shirt or a coffee cup on the way out, the money goes to a great cause.

Sozo is well-known for providing jobs and training for disadvantaged young people. It's also a pleasant, comfortable refuge from the heat and noise outside. Most of the popular coffee drinks are available, and there's a fair selection of pastries and light meals.

Prices aren't cheap, but keep in mind that you're helping to support a good cause.

Upstairs is a comfortable air-conditioned room with free wi-fi and a couple internet computers you can use without charge. There are also two outside tables on a balcony with views of the neighborhood and the bustle and noise of the busy street below.

Sozo is a reliable place for good coffee and friendly service in Pham Ngu Lau.

We read about this little cafe and are so pleased we made the effort to head there. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The jazz playing throughout sets an easy mood. The staff were all friendly, even when language was a bit of a barrier. Knowing that Sozo helps kids who were on the streets is an added benefit. Our breakfast was delicious, a nice change from what was on offer in our hotel.
