i am a person who does cultural life as a hoppy in S.korea. So i saw this performance and it was more impressive than any traditional performance i saw in S.korea. If you really came to Vietnam, you should watch this performance

We really enjoy the show. The music was very beautiful and the Medium was very animated in her expressions. The costumes were also very elaborate. We reccommend to families and friends!

My first time learning this much about Vietnamese beliefs. The show was short but enjoyable, I would recommend it. The costumes were especially beautiful and there were not any disturbances during the show. Pay a visit!

We saw this show as we were just passing through Hanoi. It was a spur of the moment decision as the price was very decent we thought why not! So happy we did. Free green tea and sweets before the show starts. The show itself was incredible, I didn't want it to end. Highly recommend this as a different thing to do in Vietnam. Thank you Four Places!

We really enjoyed this show. We received tea and snacks on arrival and were then escorted to our (really comfy) seats.

During the show, one main performer takes on the persona of 3 different characters from indigenous vietnamese religion, and each has their own costumes, dances and songs. The costumes are hand stitched to an incredible standard and the songs are played live on stage by musicians playing traditional instruments. The story of each character is displayed on screen behind the performer, but it’s not dry, there’s a good sense of humour to it - I loved the tipsy 10th prince :)

It is a 45 min show and really affordable, we liked it as it is less touristy than other attractions in Hanoi. Great if you want to experience tradition in a fun way.

The only other comment is that perhaps the explanation of the show could have been a bit better in advance - we found the flyer a bit unclear but were happy to turn up and see what happened. It was worth it!

We weren't too sure what to expect from this play, but after this eye opening performance we have learnt so much about traditional Vietnamese gods, music and religion. The artestry of the costumes was spectacular, and you can tell that a lot of hard work and effort was put into the creation of the show. 10/10 would recommend.

Four palaces is a very fascinating show that brings you inside vietnamese old traditions and Asian way of experiencing culture.

I’ve given this show 5 stars as my daughter (4) loved it. She wanted it to last longer!
I thought it was super interesting, colourful and well done.
If you’ve got a bit of time free do go!
Tip: The theatre was quiet when we went at 18:00 so I’m not sure we really needed to have bought the expensive ticket for front rows. Try checking how full it will be when booking,
