We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Great location, super friendly staff and nice rooms. By far the comfiest bed we've had. The buffet breakfast was simple but tasty- the best banana pancakes. They went out of their way to accommodate us. Would recommend to anyone.

Was recommended this hotel by our tour guide, and was not disappointed! We arrived at 5am and the staff showed us to our room upon arrival (at no extra cost). The included breakfast was desirable and the poached eggs are the best I've ever had. The staff are super friendly and ever so helpful giving us numerous maps and remarking locations (inc street foods for us to try) each time we managed to loose them. The beds are soft, which seems to be hard to find with Vietnamese hotels...generally very clean and in the perfect location of the old quarter.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted and made to feel extremely welcome with some lovely watermelon juice. While we sat and enjoyed our juice, the staff took our bags to our room and made sure to inform us about the hotel and its surroundings. When we asked for a for a restaurant recommendation, we were sent to a local eating establishment that actually had locals and the food was phenomenal. The breakfast is a la carte all you can eat and has everything from noodles to crepes. Our friends had big bags they didn't want to take to Ha Long Bay and the hotel was willing to hold on to them while we were away. They didn't even make us pay for the room until after we returned from Ha Long Bay and stayed with them a second time. The rooms were quiet, though the walls were a little thin so if someone happened to be walking around with heels upstairs you could hear every step. This, however, is a very minor complaint when weighed against the wonderful service we received. In addition to beautiful rooms and excellent service, the hotel is very conveniently located and we were able to walk to almost all of the muse see sites in Hanoi. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

We had a brilliant experience with this hotel from start to finish.

We stayed at the hotel three separate times over a two week period as we went to Sapa and Halong Bay. I booked both tours through the hotel months before we arrived and the arrangements were very easy (and both trips were great).

We stayed in a family room with our two sons aged 6 and 8. The room was excellent with two HUGE comfortable beds, plenty of storage space, little balcony, cable TV, good bathroom and wifi. The breakfast was served in a lovely little sitting area downstairs and was very good. The location is very convenient with loads of places to eat and shop within easy walking distance.

Most importantly the staff were brilliant! From arranging the tours to calling taxis to helping us post items home (a staff member actually came to the post office with us to make sure it all went smoothly), nothing was too much trouble for them. We had to catch an early flight out of Hanoi and they were up at the crack of dawn preparing an early takeaway breakfast for us without it being requested!

I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly!

PS. We stayed at the start of 2013 when it was still called Hanoi Elegance Sapphire. From reading the reviews it looks like the only thing that has changed is the name - the service and hotel is as good as it ever was.

Good location on edge of Old Quarter.
Very helpful and friendly staff, they organised our onward train journey tickets and even had their guy drive us to the station then carry our bags into our cabin.
Only downside is that there is no bar but there is a minibar in the room and if you can't find a nearby bar in Hanoi Old Quarter then you're not trying.
Good value for money, we emailed hotel directly to get a good price.
