Certificate of Excellence

Stayed at this hotel with my brother in law on the 6th of May, we chose this hotel based on Trip
Advisor reviews. It lived up to all expectations. The bus pick up from airport was prompt, from the moment we walked in the door the service was excellent. The rooms were very nice, we were at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet. The room included a computer which was very handy to communicate with my children back in Australia. Any request for room service was done so very prompt and politely. Breakfasts were excellent. The decor of the hotel is very palatial. The beds were very very comfortable. Our stay also included a 2day 1night to Halong Bay with Glory Cruises, this was also excellent all pre arranged by the hotel ( I will be posting a seperate review on this ) The hotel is in the old quarter in a very good location. I cannot fault anything about this hotel, it was the first of a number of hotels that I stayed in during my holiday which included Korea with another stop over in HoChiMin . The price was very good approx $50.00 per night between 2 people. The management should commended for thier staff training because this was the best service we were given during our entire holiday in Asia , I would go back and stay in a heartbeat

Room Tip: Back rooms quieter, stayed in front room it has double glazing but still a little bit of traffic noi...

This was our 2nd stay at the Hanoi Elegance Sapphire Hotel and we were treated like old friends. The service is outstanding - one of the guys from the hotel rushed around Hanoi train station to help us with our tickets to Sapa and we hadn't even booked them through the hotel. The room we stay in is the family room overlooking the street with a little balcony, laptop & free internet, flat screen TV, free fruit each day and a complimentary bottle of wine. The room is spotless, bathroom large and the bed and bedding so comfortable (I wanted to take the pillow home with me it was so soft!!). The extended breakfast menu is good and their room service prices very reasonable. It is in a perfect location for wandering around the Old Quarter and a short walk down a street full of shopping opportunities to the Lake. Madame Hein is around the corner which was a bonus for us on our last night as I wanted to try it out and wasn't disappointed. All in all a great place to stay, although some rooms do not have external windows and if that is a problem for you the family room is the best option. Next time we are in Hanoi will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Family room is best as it overlooks the stree and has large windows and a balcony.

Unlike impressions created on the web, the hotel is not an old building but a new structure made to look elegantly old . They have excellent services like the airport pick-up and exceptionally good break-fast – we had our 1st pho in Vietnam there and strongly recommend their garlic bread – which can be a half a meal in itself! The breakfast is in fact exceeds expectations from a 3 star hotel.

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious & clean. However, some rooms have no view, which is a strong minus. We stayed in 2 rooms, both opening into a hotel chute. While 306 had some natural light through the chute, 206 had none and you can not make out day from night, from inside the room.

An cute & unusual practice we saw, was wine being offered with fruits in prayer to a deity, in the hotel lobby :-)

Location wise this is a little far from the mail attractions but just a brisk walk away. We had a good stay, but if we were to visit Hanoi again we may want to stay elsewhere.

We stayed in this hotel for one night before our international flight. The bed was comfortable, the room was quite large, the bathroom was nice. it is a little older than some of the Elegance hotels, but is still very clean and comfortable. The service is good, but the service at the Hanoi Elite due to the manager was outstanding. Good value for money. Location was OK

This was our first stop in Vietnam, as soon as you step through the door you're treated to 5 star service, the staff really do make this hotel. It's clean, the breakfast is made to order and it's local enough (7-10 mins) walk to the centre. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby offering great food.

I was suffering from heatstroke on our last day, and although we had checked out we went back to the hotel where they took care of me until our flight, I was so grateful, as some hotels may not have cared. The bathroom is slightly worn but still clean, so would definitely recommend this as a great value hotel.

From airport pick up to final drop off back at airport we felt we were in good hands, the service offered was exceptional, at all times, nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was too much, and not only was it massive, but was a VERY good quality. Location is very good. We booked the Ha Long Bay cruise through the hotel, and it was all coordinated like clockwork.

Room Tip: all rooms available are excellent

All of the staff were very helpful and the room was well appointed
Breakfast also good with plenty of choice
Close to the hustle and bustle of town but not at all noisy at night, even though our room faced the street
Our son was looked after well too, so good choice for families
