“Very traditional”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

This village makes me feel very peaceful. I love its ancient architecture of houses in Duong Lam, it looks very typical with lateritic wall. And people there are very friendly and naivete with a bright smile. Smiling might be the way to show its hospitality. I really want to come back there more.

“NEVER FORGET”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

The most impressive memory for this trip is I enjoyed the fresh countryside air. This village has no sign of tourism, people are still doing mostly farming. 1 special is there are many ancient houses, some of them with nearly 200 years history. You can hire a bicycle and travel around the village to discover this place and see how it is totally different from busy life in Ha Noi city.

Duong Lam is the symbol of Vietnamese village. Here still remains traditional style houses, traditional life style. If you wanna know about Vietnam in the past you should visit this place. Now there are a lot of tourism service to serve tourists but it's not really enough professional. This place is suitable for ppl who like to explore old things

“Very heritage village of Vietnam”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

Only 50min drive by coach service, the village will appear in front of you with the gate was made from more than hundred years ago. In this village there is no sign of tourism, people are still doing mostly farming.

If you look for a place with nice rice field and you want to go by riding bicycle around the village, then Duong Lam is the place.
The only downside is that the food is quite simple and lack of activities for more than 1 day visit
