Green Tangerine was fantastic we had mains & dessert (creme brûlée) which cheaper than the NZ Sav Blanc we had with it. Beautiful courtyard with seating inside, outside or upstairs. Service was friendly but not familiar

“Very nice, top end Hanoi”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

Went for dinner here on our 1 and only night in Hanoi as it was recommended. It was also 1 min walk from our hotel. Our first trip to Vietnam and after 2 nights in Ho Chi Minn we were struggling with the food somewhat. All change here, very Parisian courtyard setting with bubbling atmosphere. Fantastic selection of top drawer French items available and very attentive knowledgable staff you knew their menu. This is a bit pricey for the area but absolute quality and worth every penny.

“Skilled French-Viet fusion food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013 via mobile

Probably more geared as a special dinner sort of venue rather than the sort of restaurant you'll visit regularly. The menu is great, very creative and some very well crafted dishes. Crab millefeuille and duck liver tiramisu were both excellent starters. The main of duck was average and the highlight was the dessert of deep fried chocolate truffles, exceptional. The ambience is also great, sitting in the courtyard just off the main street in the old quarter its easy to relax. Downsides are the service which was slightly arrogant at times and the pricing of the dishes. I appreciate its not going to cost the same as the average vietnamese restaurant as you have to pay for the skills and effort involved in creating these menus but the prices charged are what you would pay for a comparable fine dining place in Europe, bit steep given its Vietnam. Would recommend for a one off special meal in Hanoi.

“A great surprise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

Here we have a place which is in all the guide books, well a tourist place, nope it turned out to be a great experience, the ambience was just fantastic, some honor to my lovely wife, the staff was at their toes all the time, but not in a disturbing was but a very professional way, the quality of the food just surprised us as it was high quality at a good price and very well presented. My wife got a local menu which just gave all the fantastic tastes of Vietnam, I picked a crab starter (the best) and a braised pork which just had so much taste. All ended with a tarte tatain made of banana,,, a must place if you are in for a good and romantic dinner, but if you look for a cheap street junk, go somewhere else

“A fancy meal, good but a bit pricy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

We went to this restaurant on our first evening in Hanoi,as it was suggested by our hotel. The food was fancy with sauces and different fruity concoctions. However, the boys had steak which was cooked to perfection, my son had salmon which was tasty and I had the vegetarian ravioli, which I would not order again. The atmosphere is great and the service was good. Our bread basket was refilled as soon as it was empty. The bill was a bit steep, but if you want something other than a meal on the pavement you're not too choosy.
