We were walking for hours through hidden corners of hanoi old town and were able to taste many different dishes (and mainly the ones you would not know how to order). Our guide Vu adapted the tour to our wishes (we ended up tasting all the fruits we wanted, and also oyster porridge and bowls!!). 100% recommended!
I have lived in Hanoi for 3.5 years, but saw parts of Hanoi and tasted food and drinks on this tour that were all new to me. Rose was a fantastic local tour guide with excellent English and an in-depth knowledge and passion for the food and culture of both Vietnam, and Hanoi in particular. We really loved this tour and would highly recommend it!

You should book a hotel which would be way cheaper than booking with a taste of Hanoi. This business runs by a foreigner who doesn’t understand anything about Hanoi. He just hires people to work for him and jacks up the price. Booking tours from the hotel is much better and more fun
Minh was great at showing us around. They are serious about not eating a full lunch before as you'll be eating a ton of food. Highlights were glass noodles and egg coffee
