Restaurant has a great atmosphere recreating a specific era of Vietnam which most of us did not experience - having said that, we brought family with us who did live through that era who were kind of confused. We like it - but didn't love it - they gave each other head scratching looks...

This restaurant was recommended by our guide so can only conclude we chose the wrong things from the menu. Certainly matches the feel of war time Vietnam, in décor and style. We had not booked but not very busy so no problem in getting a table. There were a few locals and no tourists. The menu does have English translation but they do not appear to be very informative so I suggest only go if you know someone who knows what is good to order or you are very adventurous. Not expensive but did not really enjoy anything we ordered. Still nothing ventured….

I recommend the frie rice, cabbage with cherry tomatoes , soup with pork , prawns with ginger and spring rolls obviously. If you like to experiment , frogs with ginger should be amazing ... anyway this is a magic place , so cheap but best I've try in Hanoi . Trust me.

I experienced it more like a noisy teenage hairdresser than anything else. The toothpicks though were amazing. But could be found elsewhere too...
